If it was humanly possible to consistently ztd cg spacies with decent DI, then yeah some type of ban would be worth considering regardless of the other factors. People are nowhere near as consistent at the cg as even the most mediocre wobblers were

And regarding the "what about other infinites" thing, they aren't even infinite. A true combo that only works for 30-40% is not an infinite. For example, Marth. He has a chaingrab that works consistently on two characters for about 60% best case scenario. That also assumes he does the pivot grabs on DI behind, and lands every single followup. ICs never need to do that, since they just land the first grab and their execution check is now just pressing A at 200 bpm. Works the exact same for every character, and there is no DI mixup you can do, no teching, no SDI, nothing at all that the affected player can do to escape it so it's really the only true infinite in the entire game. Some people say Fox's waveshine against certain characters is infinite, but that also isnt true. Unless Fox could react to their DI and SDI on frame 1 every single time, he's gonna get 3-4 waveshines before they DI out or just fall offstage. This theoretical infinite also only works against a handful of characters anyway, whereas wobbling works on any character, any percent, any stage, for any amount of time the user wants it to, off of a single grab. I was so happy to see wobbling go. It's make ICs a lt more interesting and healthy as a character.

The criteria for banning wobbling is mostly consistent with banning of other potential infinites.. Except in the case of wobbling it is even more extreme, because unlike Link, or Young links stab infinites, or Fox's shine infinites, wobbling does not depend on either a stage wall or heavy execution, you're right in that. It can be executed anywhere and only has 2 dependencies. Nana being at your side and synchronized, and tapping A at a rhythm. It does suck for IC's but they've been proven to be able to do it without wobbling, they're just not a great character overall and have to struggle to get grabs. I'd rather a character's success rest on the use of its proper tools and limitations, rather than a oversight in the games production. Sometimes one must fall for the benefit of the game. I'd tell the IC's mains the same thing excuse making Fox mains make when I complain about their broken character, the same character screen is open to them as it is to me. Until we're ready to cross that road though that will be the way things are.
