And now we know why Louis is so robotic in Dubai: Armand is literally rewriting Louis' narrative, making him repeat the same statements as Armand, word for word, not to mention scrambling his memories! Dude has been messing with Louis' mind since Paris. Armand is sinister, y'all.

Agreed, Armand and Louis are both terrible…doing terrible things both together and independently of the other. This episode was sooooo good. I had to watch it twice. You’re right, Louis talks like a Stepford husband robot during their interview sessions….like an interview from a Hollywood couple on how they met. But the meet cute (cute way they met) is a lie from beginning to end. And Louis still had a lil hood edge in their San Francisco days. In Dubai, he is a sophisticated but sterilized version of his previous self. At first, I thought it was a 100 year glow up, but it seemed so canned and fake that it made me suspicious of his story. Young Daniel Malloy tried to “Father Figure” Louis….i’ll be anything and everything you want just put your tiny hands in mine. they were channeling my love of George Michael. Armand is deeply insecure. Someone needs to make a show about a therapist treating vampires. There would be SO MUCH to unpack…like in the show Lucifer. So many levels of truth, lies and unintentional deception. He’s also a chameleon and a people pleaser. His life before he was made has a huge influence on his current actions. You talking about yams reminds me of my aunts from Baton Rouge. One of them tried to scare the girls off from boys and always referred to their pingas as snakes…live, dead, little, etc. it sounds hilarious today but then for our little 16-21 year old selves, it was quite serious - even if half of us didn’t listen.

Nobody's talking about last season why daniel didn't recognize armand right away why did armand have to be introduced at the end of the season and it makes sense now because armand erased their memories

My wires are crossed too. I was already feeling Armand, but Armand the Psycho has me shook. I love him. Favorite part was from Armand bouncing Daniel like a beach ball to the whole "Is that what makes you fascinating" cold-fury-rant. Mmm, mmm, mmm. That aside, I'm glad we're getting to see the vampires in more situations which allows us to see their patterns. Armand is always attaching himself to things and people to give his life meaning. Lestat can't say no to the people he loves even when he knows damn well what they're asking for is stupid (Nicky being made into a vampire, Louis wanting Claudia, and wanting to own the brothel). Lestat is also self-centered and egocentric. Louis neglects the people he loves and knows how to cut like a knife with his words (the stuff he said to Lestat when he was missing Claudia, the horrible shit he said to Armand). Although as f'd up as what Armand did, it did work for decades. If it weren't for present-day Daniel, it might have worked forever.

Lestat should really just be looking like a devine snack just sitting somewhere (maybe a French Cafe or something) just tuned into Vamp radio hearing and seeing the fight back in the 70s in San Francisco and in current day dubai... again still waiting for Louis messiest moment to make his return

And this is why, unconsciously, it was on sight for Daniel when it came to Rashid/Armand. I still want to know if Daniel’s Parkinson’s is a consequence of those fews days. Also… calling Lestat a “chaos demon”. Girl! 😂😂Furthermore, you should listen to the soundtrack… Sam Reid has a song on there… 🥵

Yes, the Armand vs. Louis fight was the funniest thing I have seen for a while. The insults they were throwing at each other imitating each other🤣😂🤣. Louis does speak dramatically. And people keep calling him out on it and it triggers him it seems, perhaps the point when he kills the 100 + victims before him. Louis is just in his feelings and wants a person to listen to him, then they make him mad and he will drain them. Maybe that is why the Talamasca guy told Present time Daniel to watch out for the other one, meaning Louis. Armand just happened to come and save Daniel. I hope he get a Devil's Minion story still.

After this episode I’m team Armand for sure, he’s passive aggressive just like me lol. And we know Lestat would have never stood there and take it from Louis like that. They all toxic.

The dynamic between Louis & Armand is exciting to me. Although Armand is way more powerful than Louis, in their relationship he becomes submissive. Ex: He calls Louis master in French & when Louis stopped Armand from draining Daniel in that scene. I feel the reason Louis is with Armand is because he feels protected & dominant. Louis definitely still has trauma from the relationship with Lestat. I feel like everyone keeps forgetting that Lestat nearly killed Louis. Dropped him from the sky! Funny enough, Lestat was the dominant one when he was with Louis. These actors are phenomenal. They make you love & hate these characters at the same time. I’m definitely torn 🥴😂

This episode was fantastic, writing, acting, set, costume- all a 10. I'd love to see this show get the recognition and rewards it deserves and a new season so we can get more of these characters! It seems Daniel should be equally upset with Louis as he is with Armand. In preparing to kill Daniel, Armand was acting according to the coven way of life- he was cleaning up a mess after Louis broke the vampire rules. It wasn't personal and Armand did not see anything fascinating in Daniel to keep him alive or turn him. Louis stopped Armand from killing Daniel and ordered Armand to scramble Daniel's memories. The mind manipulation was entirely at Louis' direction. I don't understand why Louis was hollering no when Lestat was speaking through Armand - does he want Lestat back or not? Louis has the emotional upper hand in all his relationships and plays hot and cool; Lestat, Armand and Claudia are all hurt by his fickleness. Maybe Louis just isn't built for long term companionship.
