If it is DC generator then a Dc load must be connected so it means Power factor is 1 and for powerfactor 1 type main field flux is cross magnatized ???
Lol distortion of main field is due to cross magnetization , which has no role in decreament of generated voltage but it causes unsuccessfull commutation . Decreament of voltage is associated with decreament in main field which is due demagnetization . Here , point to remember is , armature flux is always of cross nature , i.e. it can only distort the field , so armature flux isn't responsible for demagnetization but due to distortion , flux density tends increase at pole tips ..here bh curve plays its role i.e. saturation effect obstructs as much increament on respective pole tips as it has been decreased at other pole tips and net flux density decreases . First fix ur own concepts before lacturing engineering students .
