The Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square Strings, and United States Military Academy Band at West Point perform the "Armed Forces Medley" during a Music and the Spoken Word Fourth of July Special: “Defending Independence.”
The medley is arranged by Michael Brown and Paul Murtha, and it consists of:
- The U.S. Coast Guard song, "Semper Paratus"
- The U.S. Air Force song, "The U.S. Air Force" or "The Wild Blue Yonder"
- The U.S. Navy song, "Anchors Aweigh"
- The U.S. Marine Corps song, "The Marines' Hymn"
- The U.S. Army song, "The Army Goes Rolling Along"
The special concert was performed at the United States Military Academy at West Point, on the Hudson River in New York.
