The officer had to walk away because he was trying to be professional, but his training didn’t prepare him to remain professional while listening to an amazing piano player!

It looks like a transit station. A lot of people have places to be and can’t afford to stop even if they want to. In a mall I’m sure he would have had a different turn out

We used to have a Pub in North Carolina called the keys. I love that place got sloshed there many nights and they always served a free breakfast at last call to sober us drunk people up.
People are all in hurry to get where they are going .. few years ago Joshua Bell, among the top violinists of "all time" according to a few websites, was playing at a Washington D.C. metro stop at morning rush hour. Only a couple people actually stopped to listen {for free concert when people pay hundreds of dollars to hear him in concert halls]. Interesting thing was that most of the people who wanted to stop an listen were children, trying to get their parents to stop! Very sad... About four years ago, the Washington Post did a story about him and mentioned that he would be playing at Union Station - that concert [again free] was pretty well attended - and was absolutely AWESOME.
Just because no one stopped to watch him dosen't mean they don't appreciate it, not everyone walk into a train station with just the intention of watching piano performances.

@@top6ear For me, I listen and play / make a lot of music and have a really great ear so I can selectively hear quite well! I love when I can just go about my day and hear music in the background like this, with street performers and such. For me, standing and watching kinda takes away from it all.

They put a piano in my local Galleria. I got excited when I saw it and gave the best performance of my life there. I managed to get an standing ovation. Well not for my performance but for the security guard escorting me out. :(
Little Monk To be honest, it's unusual to see a pianist in a station when come to eastern countries. After all, protection for a station is the most important.
@John McSween ive seen armed officers in manchester for years and essex as well, there have always been specifically trained armed officers on police forces up and down england something obviously prompts them being assigned to certain locations maybe a particular increase in violence in that area but make no mistake they have been around for a lot longer than this past year
The sad thing is .. this video shows how we are all a bunch of walking zombies and can't even stop for a minute to just soak up the moment & experience.. only time we do it is hours of youtube scrolling. ;-) that was fun to watch.

Everyone single person passing by was in a hurry, including the older gentleman who had his arm all the way out shaking his hat. Reminder to slow down once in a while and enjoy life around you.
