I am very fond of all the 32s and that one looks like a real treat and would make a grand roaming companion to dispatch the odd charging starling or fox squirrel

Greetings from just a little bit over the medicine line and a tad east of you, thanks for the video. I recall seeing two similar .22 revolvers marked "Arminius" in the early '70's. I want to say they were both double action - one was for sure - and had more than 6 shots, perhaps 8? They were marked "Made in West Germany" so post war for sure. They'd have been considered entry level budget revolvers I'd think.

Very interesting piece! Sorta feels like the premium version of an H&R 1904. I'll be on the lookout for one of these now

Cool gun! I like anything chambered for 32 sw or 32 sw long. I was talked out of getting an Arminius marked 8 shot 22 target revolver (buddy said they were german pot metal trash).

Post WW2 a German firm using the trade-name made some questionable guns, often with cast Zamac frames.

Arminius was also a Germanic military leader famous for defeating the Romans at the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9AD. ¨Varus, give me my legions!

I wish I could claim credit, but this came from a collector and is actually in original condition, which in it's way is even more stunning!

Since I am early I see no one has yet responded to your less than enthusiastic remarks about the '95 nagant. My Tula version of it is not crudely made. the original black powder loading seems to have been similar to the 32-20 in power range. It was originally meant to be issued as a single action to those that were not officers. But, the soviets made them all it seems with a double action capacity that had a very heavy trigger. Remember it was intended to work with hard primers and work or function is the qualifying word here. For 7 shots they will go bang every time. It is said that tankers liked them for firing out of the ports of a tank. One can fire 32 H&H out of them with a roll of paper or tape around cartridge to prevent excessive expansion and some will even do the .327 mag that I worry about. 32 smith and wesson long is a nice plinking load for them. The soviets for WWII had a high speed 80 grain jacketed load for it. I suggest you take another look at the '95 nagant revolver. If you were close to me I have a couple interesting old guns.

I've seen a number of them, and none impressed in any fashion, but I am always open to new experiences!

what would the appropriate value be for a little nugget like that?

Don't tell the tactards that reloading is not likely going to be needed today either 😂 Thank you for the video, Tinker!!!!

That's a new one on me, and thanks for that! Tactards... 😁 In truth I always carry an extra magazine, but it's mainly to clear jams ASAP rather than as a reload as such.

@tinkertalksguns7289 I carry a reload mainly for different areas/reasons. Hardcast for hiking and woods carry. Hollow points for the nightstand and Wal-Mart.

Hey Tinker, do you happen to know the model# of this revolver? I'd love to add one to my Nagant collection!

Sorry, I don't. It belongs to a collector friend; I'll ask him.

The 1895 isn't THAT bad. Okay, the double action sucks. And you can time the reloads with a sun dial. But they were rugged as hell. And their cartridge, while weak by modern standards, were on par with many military sidearms of the era. It was rugged, simple to make, could survive use by illiterate peasants with almost no training.
