And it's ironically the other way around for the intro of 4. Berlioz stays grounded for most of the fight whereas you're airborne about 80% of the time in 4th gen games.
Every Armored Core intro is every mech freely hover (move or fly with booster) without running out of energy Unlike in the game we had to keep from losing the energy and considering the heat of the booster itself.
I'm a fan of armored core series. Man its the best mecha game ever! It's where your imagination run wild when creating your own fighting machine. The only thing missing is an anime version
I remember playing this game so much in japanese version(mother lives in japan and sent me the game along with a ps2) a lot and recreated Oracle even without knowing which items does stuff xd
No more cry boy Couse, I'm beside you No more cry for own… Couse, I'm beside you Shining and bleeding Shall I to coming out Shining and bleeding Shall I to coming out Call me, Call me to your glow Call me, Call me to your pain
It'd be like losing a leg in MechWarrior Online; except you'd topple over without having constant booster usage to keep that side afloat. Would be an interesting mechanic, honestly. Lose a leg? Decreased mobility, increased energy drain.
+holyordersol this does happen on last raven but not as graphic :P if your legs get severly damage they no longer contribute to the defense of the ac plus your ground mobility goes ot crap if you happen ot be a hover or tank AC and lose your legs your screwed because your boosters also gets damaged(as in you immediatelly overheat by using them)
@Harli Baron Kind of weird that he didn't continue using parts made only by Mirage in LR. I know the Alliance is made up of the different remnants of corporations, but Evangel was kicked out of the Raven's Nest for taking exclusive contracts from Mirage.
+Darkeffigy X I have question, that red armored core that was fought against the blue one, is that the same armored core character from armored core 3. it used to be black but now red?
+ironkaider I faintly remember that red AC and thought it looked familiar. It's been ages since i played the original AC 3. I need to do some googling on that one
@@diablo2punk Souls games look pretty average graphically, but considering they were a budget studio back during the days of Nexus this CGI is incredible. AC4 and AC5 were another jump ahead and honestly some of the best in the business right up there with Halo 4/2A's.
This intro is very interesting because it shows Evangel in not one, not two, but three different missions. One where he is fighting ACs with his signature loadout, one where he's fighting helicopters with two guns and a different core, and one where he's fighting another AC in the rain with a different back weapon setup.
silly how every intro also introduces the new mechanics or gear of the game they represent In this one: Linear rifles(the weapon everyone wanted when they saw it in action :P), Hangar functionality(oracle was rocking double guns for a while), micromissiles AC2: OB core function, extensions and non sword left hand weapons AC3 did ittoo : EO core function, relation missiles and weapon dropping ACSL:the crow extension(true Radar and FCS stealth) , lightweight EO cores and weapon damage, and the Pegasus Back unit(extra boosters) Last raven did it too with : Railguns and part breaking
Armored Core 2 already had relation missile extensions, just saying.... Silent Line:AC Solid EO cores, Solid Shell Sheilding, and those darling Pegasus boosters that sadly don't work as a missile decoys when dropped, and don't offer as much of a boost as you'd hope they would especially for taking up BOTH back slots. Think they missed out on an opportunity to showcase A.I. since that's the main focus of Silent Line, where other games always had it, they were never the FOCUS. Could shown a destroyed or victorious AC, and the cockpit opening or going in to show it's empty. Never played Last Raven, but they had part breaking in the Nexus game/Intro.
at 1:38: *Evangels slides around to target the other MTs* at 1:40: MTs "Oh we can do that too" *slides side by side* at 1:43: Evangel "I see I see but, bet you guys can do this" *jumps*
I for one love ACV/VD and greatly enjoy the tactics behind them, along with how they keep the mentality of Armored Core. I would still vote though we should go back to AC's roots and do a reboot. Imagine Armored Core 1 with all the graphical updates, controller updates, and loadout/fitting updates we've managed so far: arm weapon uniformity, Overed Weapons, Cannons and their relationships with leg type. I feel we could easily go back to "cannons on back, rifles/blades/shields in hands." Imagine trying to kill NineBall in AC1 with the new mechs
@kyokyodisaster4842 wow 9 year reply, yeah i think AC6 got a lot of things right, we have the AC1-3 gen style of cannons, the acV weapon carousels and kicking, the leg design and special abilities from both 3rd and 5th gen, life as a AC fan is good.
Arguably the best intro in the series. I hate the blocky rugged look the series has been taking recently, Id love for FROMSOFT to make a whole game modeled after this intro; dark, sleek and almost somber.
I agree about the blocky and rugged look that 5 has, but AC4 and 5 definitely went for a more dark and gritty tone on par with something like REmake 2. I personally prefer the older AC games' mood, which had a nicer balance of gritty and futuristic dystopia.
It's funny, I prefer to Gen 3 Armored Cores sleeker design, as you describe, than the blocky polygonal lego design of newer/older. But for Front Mission, I prefer 3's blocky pixelated graphics that seem more industrial to the super smooth design of 4, which each wanzer looks almost identical aside from maybe 2 models. In 3 every Wanzer stood out, in 4 they're just sort of eh.
@hyperfixatedd super stoked. Seems like they found a nice middleground where the design philosophy drastically changes depending on what Corp manufactures the part.
About a decade late, but i think that's specifically AC 3's stylistic choice. Armored Cores have always been pretty blocky since gen 1, but I'd agree AC V can get a bit *odd* for people who liked AC 3's sleeker, more cyberpunkish design.

HAHAHAHA "Had enough of Dark Souls." SHHHHHHiiiiit. I want them to make more Bloodborne. And a upgraded Armored Core, no more dawrf mechs with stubby arms n legs! AC V.
Personally, i like AC3 & ACN's intros equally; if not 3's a bit more. AC2's intro was a bit too cheesy for my liking, altho i liked that it started in the dropship & gave a brief perspective of the AC world away from the back of an AC. ACV's was hyper realistic, but relatively lacking in interactive action between mechs, which i found boring, compared to AC3 & ACN.
+holyordersol i agree with u. ACV intro look awesome but there doesn't had a mech combat, that make it a lackluster. it's awesome but not badass. I prefer AC3 & AC Nexus intro for that badassery feel.
Vincent Vu After seeing how the Warcraft panned out, and considering how vaguely fleshed out the lore of most (if not all) of From Software's games are; I think it's better they don't dip themselves into that pool just yet.
this intro was great, but when i found out ninebreaker wouldn't have a cg intro i wanted to break things. an intro with nineball would have been amazing :'(
Anything in rainfall seems very empowering or haunting in a way. Whether it be an AC standing tall in the rain or slouched over on the ground powered down after a long and hard battle
Ok something is really bothering me in this and I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned it. at 0:47, a pair of mechs fire their machine guns, these things are like 10 metres tall, that's gotta be a 20mm cannon at least. you hear those bullet casings fall to the floor, and they sound like regular casings of a pretty small calibre. For how prominent it is in the mix I'm surprised a mistake like that is in such an otherwise cool trailer. It happens again at 1:06 too lol, giant guns, tinkly casings
I wouldn't think the sound change would appeal to the featherweight dreamlike power fantasy style that the trailer is promoting as well as with the music. Why does every single thing have to be "realistic"?
@@REAPER55667798 it was just a nitpick, regarding realism, the AC series tends to be like, one of the most down to earth, real robot mecha series out there, at least in gens 1-3. It's just a small sound design fault that sticks out because it's so well considered everywhere else lol
This was one of my most favorite intros, but I'll be honest, the original music for it was really... weird. Kinda sounded like the gangster toon wolf from Cool World pretending to be a siren, going "DAA DOO DAA DOO DAA DOO," lol. This was also, in my opinion, the best Armored Core of the series. It contained just so much content, so many options and viable playstyles. That has slowly gone away, and though I really love Armored Core 6, I miss things like long ranged weapons, ant-missile systems, auxiliary gear. Heck, the scopes from AC5, and they only did that once.
Oh man, the nostalgia is coming back full force. Armored Core V and Verdict Day were awful, I'm sorry: They don't even feel like AC anymore. Go back to AC games like THIS!
Literally almost a perfect intro, a perfect score, perfectly in-sync with the arrival of the Crest AC, then it ends by hammering my balls into the floor and reminding me this is a glorified product ad with the "ARMORED CORE: NEXUS" bit. WHY DID HE SAY THAT, WHO'S RESPONSIBLE?!
Just watched this video on mute while listening to "her ghost" by "dance with the dead"... please watch this video first, then listen to her ghost over this video on mute.
lyrics "Flying, flying, fighting, shining Flying, flying Flying, flying, fighting, shining Flying, flying, fighting, shining Shining bright for you So that you'll find me Shining bright for you So that you'll find me Baby, baby, do your dance Baby, baby, do your thing Baby, baby, do your dance Baby, baby, do your thing Shining bright for you (forever) So that you'll find me (together) Shining bright for you (forever) So that you'll find me (together) Shining bright for you (forever) So that you'll find me (together) Shining bright for you Shining bright for you" :D
Idk why but I always tried to build my core based on the characters on the box arts because I always thought the parts were great together but they’re not and it usually ended up being a huge flop
think about this, Battling in a city, a elite lynx battling against small armed forced and normals which are poorly skilled. Then takes out the big boss. Lynx police track down a crime lord with normals, main character rush in and defeat minions, kill the crime lord alone with his AC, take out more minions and escape.
Like at the end of V, a Raven (normal), can take out a Next, given the right weapons and skills. So i think Phoenix, Nineball, Stinger, Evangel, Zinaida and the tops from the arenas (like Necron/Black dragon) can beat a Next.
@@milesr4609 The "NEXT" in Verdict day was a heavily gimped and Frankensteined version of White Glint. One of the proper ACS from 4 would curb stomp even the PC in Verdict Day.
The red ac body is a middle weight assault AC built by Crest That's why both models look the same but have different paint Scheme and weapons setup just Google it
