As a longtime AC vet, this is brilliant. One of the BEST features AC games do is no sellback penalty. You get a full refund for trading your parts. You never truly lose money unless you spend it in missions on ammo or repairs. As your budget grows, your ACs can get ever more advanced, but you can hot swap parts between the market and your garage. It encourages experimentation, customization, and is one of the greatest executions of player agency in gaming history.
makes me wish ac6 was harsher w your money. Never felt like ammo cost or repairs were issues even after completely emptying clips and using all repair kits
@@vivisdoodledworld7232 Yeah, like...What is even the point of the Slug Gun when it's just kind of garbage. Meanwhile the Chaingun is ABSURD especially in later games (Until Nexus/Last Raven where IT joins the Slug Gun in the 'Will never use' category)
This is actually amazing, congrats for putting it together! Honestly it's not only accurate but also hilarious, I love the kneeling down to fire a back mounted weapon sequence.
With the launch of AC6, I also wanted to give a shoutout to many Armored Core content creators, because they deserve a lot of love for their efforts after all the years and specially since this franchise will get more popular (of course this includes Iron Pinneapple, Oroboro, Zentreya, Fightincowboy, Rurikhan, and many others): - The Lore Hunter - 0seraphic - BlueberryPoot - Silver Glint - AesirAesthetics - Armoredcorelore - Love_Arc - BlueberrPoot - Anatolia's Mercenary - MrHappy1227 (though he is more focused on Final Fantasy) - Rubicon Dogs - Zealous (Znote) - Cleric - FromCheng - Writing on Games - Above Average Gaming} - Alanah Pearce
@@klortikterra4423 with enough patience it can one shot heavy ACs or 2... I forgot but really there's no reason to bring 4 sawas unless you really want an overweight AC
Oh man, I LOVE this animation. It's so freaking cool to see Armored Core getting the love it deserves. Very nice attention to details too. And of course, Human Plus with the Moonlight sword. Extremely powerful, but doesn't change the outdated controls. I wish I could give this video more thumbs up, but one will have to do. Be seeing you Raven, on the battlefield.
It wouldn't be AC without the controls. They're very intentionally set the way they are. Look at it as an immersion thing; you're the pilot, not the mech. The game isn't abour running around blowing shit up, it's about _getting your mech to do that_ (while engaging with the whole war economy meta-narrative). A subtle, but significant difference. They are big dangerous, unwieldy machines that take skill to control, and the gameplay reflects that.
I just started armored core 1 and I must say that this has been my experience so far lmao. I die because of random shit for example I accidentally hit the truck with the jank controls and the mission is over and I have to pay like 20k. But I know it'll be fun once I can make some dough 😂. Nice video it made me crack a smile!
Very accurate first experience. The only thing i'm kinda iffy on the game is how game changing it is finding some of the secret weapons, and they seem almost necessary for late game missions (unless you went bankrupt so many times to the point of becoming a newtype lmao). Anyway, Love me some Armored Core, really hope they nail this new one.
the controls do suck BUT _you can rebind them_ yeah believe it or not, you can rebind controls in this random PS1 game, when you can't do that in most modern console games. just rebind strafe to left-right d-pad, rebind look/turn to the face buttons and all your actions to the triggers (i like shoot on rb, fly on lb, melee on rt and switch on lt). Congratulations, now you've got a control scheme that somewhat resembles a modern shooter.
As a kid, I played Armored Core Project Phantasma. I learned how to aim vertically with the shoulder buttons, which had incredible carryover to no other game :)
Pretty accurate to my experience so far, but recently went back to the first game and my skill has vastly improved since my first playthrough only a few months ago.
MINHA EXPERIÊNCIAS SOBRE AMORRD CORE, ESTA NESTE VÍDEO Ps:a diferença que eu joguei o "Project phantasma" joguei o "arena" E so depois que fui jogar o primeiro mesmo....vai entender
AMAZING video - it captures the Ac1 experience perfectly. If you make a series on the AC6 storyline and gameplay after the release, your channel will blow up. I posted this to the Asmongold subreddit, hopefully he’ll see it
