Shinn: "Just about everywhere I've been on this planet is in shambles. But the facilities do give me the impression they were once something."
Dr. Saotome: "Take a look around you, Shinn my boy. Even this twisted metal can we're currently in used to be part of a factory that could easily pass for a resort. Albeit a strange one with assembly lines, but comfortable rooms to live in. With all the robotics, A.I. and supercomputers you'd need only two people to run this facility. There were even machines to maintain other machines."
Shinn: "To think that terraforming and interplanetary logistics could develop so much. Would that be possible for us when Earth and the PLANTs truly achieve peace?"
Dr. Saotome: "Peace? My boy, none of this was achieved through 'peace'. Rubicon III should be the number one example of 'how not to colonize a planet'. Corporatism was truly at its peak back then. Fighting for your homeland, home colony, that meant nothing even just a hundred years ago. Naturally there were many who profited and had fulfilling lives. Some ordinary, some truly stellar. But there were many more who died miserable. Working away debts any which way. Human augmentation was meant to be the next step in our evolution. To be able to survive, thrive where one shouldn't be able to. Now look where we are. You literally have to sell your backside just to start living!"
Shinn: "...So is there any real benefit to be had with all this....progress?"
Dr. Saotome: "Not out here. But there certainly are planets and colonies where you can live the life you want. The moons of Jupiter for example. That's where Walter grew up, you know?"
Shinn: "A colony more advanced than the PLANTs in our solar system and we didn't even know it..."
Dr. Saotome: "Sigh. Guess we have no choice. Shinn, I'm giving you this job from the Rubicon Liberation Front. It's from their defacto leader, Middle Flatwell himself. Mind you, this request is quite dangerous. But prices to smuggle supplies in have risen sharply these last few days. I'll play the message."
Shinn: "Finally. Was just getting bored here."
Middle Flatwell: "This is Middle Flatwell, Liberation Front Central Ice Field Command..."

Shinn: "Arrived at Hjalmar Mine. So this is where "Raven" was."
Middle Flatwell: "I'm grateful for your assistance, J. The targets are stationed at two camps. Attack one, and the other will move to reinforce."
Dr. Saotome: "The only thing that worries me is the HC. It's a new model and those generator readings are quite high. Whichever you attack first, finish them quick. You don't want to be caught in a pincer attack."
Shinn: "Roger."
Dr. Saotome: "Going for the LCs first, eh? There are two of them but shouldn't be much of a problem. You've fought plenty of them already."
Shinn: "Perfect. This one's daydreaming in his cockpit. Hate to be rude... BUT...!!"
PCA Chief Sergeant 1: "What!?"
PCA Chief Sergeant 2: "Code 15, we're under attack!"
PCA Chief Sergeant 1: "Heavy damage. Code 78, send backup! Enemy is a Gundam-type. One of the two from the report!"
PCA 2nd Lieutenant: "Understood, I'll head over as soon as the HC is prepped."
PCA Chief Sergeant 2: "Chief Sergeant down! Code 31C! This thing is a monster!"
PCA 2nd Lieutenant: "I'm coming in! Hold tight!"
Dr. Saotome: "And that's the second LC going to the scrapyard! Get ready, J! The HC is coming."
Shinn: "Weird. My sensor is reading power fluctuations in that thing."
PCA 2nd Lieutenant: "Code 23, attending scene -- What...? They got the LCs. I knew this was a bad time for maintenance..."
Dr. Saotome: "J, I don't know what's up. But that HC's power management is gone for a toss."
Shinn: "Haha! I see what's going on with it! It once happened to Luna! I'll clue that guy in!"
PCA 2nd Lieutenant: "No...! The HC's...cutting edge!"
Shinn: "Never try to operate a craft while it's in the middle of maintenance. Something could go wrong!"
Middle Flatwell: "Your reputation is well deserved, J. But I also feel something different. You do not wish to fight, yet you stay on the battlefield. Why do you give off a feeling of sadness even as you fight with blazing passion? Perhaps Rubicon's scorched sky is not the one you are meant to fly in."
Shinn: ".....It certainly isn't."
Dr. Saotome: "Head on home, J. There's nothing left for you to do - or find - here."

RLF Soldier: "Do you think he can help us?"
Middle Flatwell: "I have no doubt he can. The same can be said of the other one. But he is bound tight, while this one is free. He casts aside his freedom to save the one that's bound."
???: "It's not that I don't trust them. I do as a matter of fact. But the reasons we fight differ greatly. As much as I'd love for them to join us, I believe we should be the ones to fight for our Rubiconia."
Middle Flatwell: "Nevertheless, look after "Raven". He needs you as much as we need him."
