Greetings gamers, anime and music fans! I'm Archerxtreme. That's not my real name of course. Some of you may know me by my gamertag "SkylerXT" on Steam and Playstation. This channel is meant for casual entertainment with primary focus on Ace Combat games. Of course I'm also an enthusiast of NiOh, Fatal Frame (aka Project Zero) Sekiro, Soulsborne, Elden Ring, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Command and Conquer, Another Century's Episode, Armored Core, Macross, Need For Speed: Underground 2 and a lot more I can't immediately name.
And since I say "casual", most of my playthroughs are either on the easiest or mid-level difficulty mode where applicable. Don't expect to see much showy videos or achievement bragging - there are a couple though :) I'm just here to share what I enjoy, and hopefully get others interested in titles they may or may not have heard of. ESPECIALLY Ace Combat!
Yikes... Well, this is bad news... for Arquebus... Char, Arquebus- actually scratch all, *everyone* seriously underestimates Shinn's tenacity, ruthlessness, and most importantly, determination. He is there for a sole purpose, to get his friend/partner/brother-figure home... He will not let anyone in his way... Oh, Char, you just awoken the slumbering beast when you take that shot.
There are some very obvious problems with the Sazabi in this video. But, I tried my best to cover for it. I don't really know why that happened to Sazabi. I had to use the VE-40A Core, otherwise there would have been an even bigger empty space between the arms and chest if I used all the Sazabi part. Fortunately, this seems to happen only here. Replacing V.II Snail with Sazabi seems to go well everywhere else.

Unfortunately, the Sazabi's torso was not rendering properly and there was a HUGE gap between the arms and Core. With Snail's default VE-40A Core, the problem is still there, but the gap is not so huge now, and in certain angles not visible. Shinn, despite his flaws, is still an idealistic kid who wished the best for his friends and loved ones and helped the innocents, most prominently during SEED Destiny, where he (and the Minerva) tackled on a mission to help the local guerrillas against the Earth Alliance occupation. Like Kira has proved, Shinn isn't a bad kid. He just needs some closure, and the RLF locals treating him like a part of the family put a smile on me. 😊
Oddly, he hasn't had as close a relation with RLF despite my choosing that path. And Shinn doesnt fully trust RLF either, especially since "he" was revealed as their source....
@vanthanhphan5901 No....Not Rusty. lol. Remember the mission "Eliminate the Sp. Inspector" (Eliminate V.VII) the guy in the quad-legged Gundam? The RLF got the information...from a certain Arquebus insider...who is not a Vesper. Quattro Bajeena.

[Mod links at the end of this comment] The "survey" which Saotome mentioned Kira had gone on was the secret mission ALLMIND had given Kira, to eliminate V.III O'Keeffe in the Coral Freedom playthrough. It was for that very mission ALLMIND had upgraded Kira's Freedom AC to the AM09 Coral Freedom and let him keep it as a reward. So at the end of this mission in Coral Dawn playthrough, V.V Hawkins and V.III O'Keeffe would be the Vespers that were confirmed KIA, while V.VIII Pater survived. Yeesh, it's already a bad situation when dealing with a Gundam, but fighting one with literal space magic is a nightmare on another level... if that Gundam was the real deal and piloted by a Newtype, thankfully Shinn took care of that Institute Gundam rather well.
True. As I had state as far back as Coral Freedom story, these are just AC-reproductions. No phase shift, even. That being said, RRI and the corps did take a few inspirations from Earth..or rather "the Capital System".
@@vanthanhphan5901 Lol. if you read the story from Coral Freedom and early parts of Coral Dawn, you'd know that the "Capital System" is what people who live in other parts of the galaxy (in the fanfiction) call Earth and the PLANTs and generally the Sol System.

Although the people from the rest of the galaxy know they were originally from Earth, they have this strange dual thinking where they both don't care about Earth or the PLANTs....but they're also jealous of the Earth for having advanced machines namely Mobile Suits and Gundams. But then again, mercenary jobs aren't exactly glorious and many mercs are in indentured servitude. The reason why they don't care about the Earth is because, as a whole, they have progressed more than Earth in terms of space exploration and survivability. But they just can't help but be jealous of even mobile suits like the DJINN or GOUF etc...let alone the Mobile Suits.

Seems the mod needs a bit more work, as the wings of lights won't properly turn on or off. Still, good gameplay, as you emulate Shinn's very aggressive close range style, and not to mention if the destiny was at its true size, it and the enforcer would be around the same size sinze standard gundams are about 18 meters tall. In game, the nforcer is twice a normal ac, which is 8-10 m.
I'm not sure if the modder has done that deliberately or it's a limitation he couldn't get around. Honestly, i don't mind it being on when the wings close. Canon-breaking but looks good even then. And yeah gundams tend to be 18m or excess of that in size.
Going by the latest ver of the mod... I actually think the dev would be better off just making the wings of light work like Strike Freedom's. Sure you don't get the Voiture Lumeire effect but it at least won't look so jarring when the wings 'close' with the light still active.
Yeah the Voitur Lumiere effect staying when the wings close is weird as hell for sure. Although a part of me finds that strangely attractive too, even though it's totally canon-breaking. I suppose it would be good if the mod maker could make it so that the wings of light would activate when using the Arondight, the charged attack of Palma Fiocina and the charged attack of the M2000GX, and turn the Core Expansion instead into Shinn's kagebunshin no jutsu like in the movie. Yes...A NEXT would give maybe old gen Gundams a lot of trouble. Like the first one piloted by Amuro Ray. But some of the more advanced NEXTs like White Glint piloted by Anatolia's Mercenary with Kojima and Energy/Plasma weaponry could stand decent odds against some of the advanced Gundams like Freedom or the Nu Gundam or Wing Zero etc....of course the advantage would be solidly on the Gundam's side. Most of the time the Gundam's would win with clear margins. Just saying, a few NEXTs could probably stand up to them with excellent skills and good weapon choices.

"Into the Depths we go." - Shinn. Hmm, after diving through every possible lore I can find in the game, I morbidly thought to myself, GENESIS, Requiem, or any form of superweapons from the SEED universe (and the Gundam-verse in general), those things barely, in Ayre's words, "was hardly a spark.", compared to the solar system-scaled apocalyptic Fires of Ibis. Do you think if the Fires occurred in SEED, not necessarily in the Sol System, but in a distant yet visible place, do you think mankind would be going down the same paths as those in the AC world?
Who knows. Part of me wants to yell "No". But mankind tends to follow certain paths that tend to be dangerous. I don't say that the human race is foolish for doing so...after all the first man discovered that fire while it certainly burns, can be source of warmth, light...and eventually understand its potential as a form of energy... The same is true of the Coral or Uranium or any other. Let's assume, the Fires of Ibis did occur in SEED, in a distant star system. Probably they'd see it many hundreds or thousands of years later - which is partly what my fanfiction is assuming. Why Kira, and Shinn are in this star system but they've never seen or heard of these fires of Coral. It could be about 200 light years away or less or more...Here of course I am assuming, the PCA has faster than light interplanetary travel and so do the corps. I mean i can't explain how such massive ships are able to float in the atmospheres while utterly defying aerodynamics. Although it occurred fifty years past, Earth and the colonies which still use sub-light travel transports wouldn't even know or see the Fires of Ibis for a very long time. Might appear as a slight flash. Much like how we see a dying star on Earth. So if they discovered Coral and it's use as a source of energy, I'm sure the PLANTs and the Earth nations would want a piece of it. Dangers or no dangers. Earth has been suffering from an Energy crisis, and that's one of the reason's they are jealous of the PLANTs and not just the coordinators.

This guy's playstyle left me practically jaw-dropped throughout the entire playthrough, 100% (meaning getting all collectibles, Arena, Analysis, all of them) with no damage, S-ranks on all missions (including NG+ and NG++!). I wanted share this to you, maybe you can get some pointers/experience from his walkthrough. Just saying. 😊
@@vanthanhphan5901 Indeed I've seen this. But his style of play doesn't suit mine. I'm either a heavy Quad, or glass cannon Quad all the way. And since i've already achieved everything in the game, including a decal most players tend to miss after the 100%/Platinum, i'm pretty satisfied. You can have a look at those playlists too.
Also some fridge hilarity I've managed to realize, when I browsed through the Armored Core Reddit community, a fanart depicted V.IV Rusty as Athrun Zala (the joke is that Chris Hackney, the English VA for Rusty is also the VA for Athrun in the HD Remaster of the Gundam SEED continuity). With that knowledge in mind, I couldn't help but thought of this scenario: Kira, when talking to Rusty: ...Is it just me or is Athrun somehow managed to reincarnate into this world, just to specifically keep me from troubles? 🤨
@@vanthanhphan5901 Ah, didn't exactly know since I watch with Ocean dubs for Seed and Seed Destiny. I prefer those dubs over the newer ones. But yes, Rusty does have those same vibes.

And so Shinn goes down a second elevator shaft and takes on a second NEPENTHES. That's a bit of re-imagining on my part, but it is true the whole place is so big that is could cover a huge area under the ice. So it wouldn't be too surprising if there really was another way to get in. But for the moment that's just speculation, and this is just fan-fiction. The laser is temporarily invincible until the Osean ships are destroyed. So the window is very narrow. It's why I always do it in the end. Though it's a lot easier using the superplanes like Morgan or Raven. Have a look at my other playlists in the meantime.
When I made this video, this was still the old version of the mod. Rebellion Silver has since updated the mod not only adding more Mobile Suits, but also changing the movesets of the Freedom's Rifle. Currently as of today, there are six mobile suits(individual parts need to be assembled. You can even mix and match), and two new core expansions": RX-93 Nu Gundam, MSN-04 Sazabi, ZGMF-X10A Freedom, ZGMF-X42S Destiny, ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice, ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom (NOTE: DO NOT USE Strike Freedom if you want the game to still be fairly challenging. Strike Freedom is OP amongst OP). Core Expansions: 1. Destiny's Wings of Light. Usable on ACs and other Mobile Suits too but without light effects - temporarily ceases all EN expenditure. 2. METEOR - Calls in a METEOR to severely punish the opponent!! Attack type depends on whether you use NGI 000 Generator (melee. 3 uses) or any other (Full Burst. 1 use only).
@@WildHorseProductions Links are in my pinned comment. The latest version has all six mobile suits, but you can't add in mod parts from other mods or the game crashes. BUT, with the older version, you can add more mod parts like NEXT parts (looks only, performance of parts replaced remains same). It's how I was able to showcase multiple stuff in my roleplay for Destiny Gundam.
So Doc decided to have a field trip alongside Shinn, a surprise to be sure, but a welcoming one. Huh, now to think of it, if Doc wasn't hampered by old age, would he be able to pilot an AC (just like Carla), not to the levels of highly skilled pilots, but close enough?

Shinn: <<Ghost in the machine, huh...>> And here, lurker, is where I hope you realize that, for all the power in the hands of Shinn and Kira, the Cosmic Era somehow has yet to broach the concept of soul-bonded mobile suits. SEED is still one of the most conventional timelines in the entirety of the franchise, and if it wasn't for the fact that (1) Kira's a full-stack developer with an open mind and (2) Ericht Samaya is a celebrity, they'd probably be more horrified at the thought of using souls to control a machine. This is why Kira can keep a level head when Ayre broke the fourth wall, and why Shinn's gonna be in for a bit of a surprise.
Indeed! In fact, SEED is nothing more than a retelling of the original Gundam story. Very similar events, progression and even the question of what it means to be human. The machines are fascinating, yes. But still just a machine whose fate completely depends on the pilot. Even the concept of "SEED" is a relabelling of "newtype". Heightened abilities momentarily seen even among those who were naturally born.
Now, for some well-deserved interlude before the big show, Saotome, despite knowing that his previous colleagues have done the unthinkable, regardless, they're the only friends he had known for a long time... and it must be hard for him to read his friends' final words recorded from the wrecks.
Indeed. He was there when it all happened. Him just a young intern, fresh out of university, full of hope and excitement for the future. There were good times...and yet a dark cloud appeared and grew...and grew...he saw it all happen. But didn't know what to do. I'm not really a fan of 5th gen Armored Core because of the focus on multiplayer, but they had some good designs. Funny thing is, the 5th gen Armored Core were shorter than all the other gens lol.

Well, regardless, Canis basically signed his own will this time. Shinn's objective is that PCA railcannon and he was in his way. Now that I looked more into Shinn's characteristics, he certainly fits the theme of a dog (specifically, guard dog).
