Armored van in attack on Dallas police bought on eBay 

I still can't wrap my head around why a police department that it was a good idea to even have one. To me that is rediculas... Because they knew something like this was coming or was it just in case they needed to take down a jumbo jet? Just saying...

@-PreciseRice - LMAO 😅😂🤣 in our smallish town here in FL we were one of only two police departments in the state to have an armoured caterpillar for the longest time. I'm sure more departments have them by now. Our department has so many rediculas TOYS. They've ticketed and arrested enough tourists and citizens around here to have all kids of fun stuff. Like just the boat ramp by my house every morning is jammed packed with 3 or 4 MASSIVE border control & customs boats being towed by MASSIVE F550, 3 or 4 MASSIVE country boats being towed by MASSIVE F550s plus about a half dozen or so blow up zeplin things, a few minorly smaller country boats that just built 2 permanent mechanical boat slips w/ lifts. About a half dozen jet skis, the city has about the same amount of all things the county does, the fire department does as well and that's just a small percentage of that type of wasted b.s. that's not considering the other b.s. the swat team has. The FEW helicopters, cessenas, & awax planes the county has and customs and border patrol has probably double that at their hangars at Northrop Grumman here... It's ABSOLUTELY UTTERLY REDICULAS the amount of b.s. nonsensical American police departments and government departments spend on things that theirs absolutely no practical reasons to have, other than they wanted them and they could.

Yes with a .50 bmg sniper. 5 times more powerful than .308 usually used by swat. You see, basic versions of APCs and armored cars only protect against .308. I don't think there are many lightly armored vehicles that can withstand multiple hits from a .50 BMG chambered weapon.

you can stop regular 50 bmg with less than 1/2" of steel plate, but 50 bmg blacktip (AP) is a totally different animal, it can pierce just over 3/4" steel armor. It puts a decent dent in the back of 1" solid ar550 steel armor. Goes in about 3/4" +

Regular lead 50 bmg is relatively easy to stop but not the AP blacktip round, you need 1" thick steel to stop that one. Whereas you can stop regular 50 with 1/3"

If they are using A10 30mm, Apache 25mm and hellfire missiles on insurgents, don't think it is forbidden. It was designed for light armor in 1918 by John Browning for the M2, but it has found many uses, including the farthest sniper kill at 3971 yards by Canadian special forces in Iraq in 2017. But we can't use a little .30 caliber hollow point because it's a "dum dum" bullet according to the Hague convention in 1899. The US is not a signatory to that, so certain SOF units use hollow points in their handguns.

Bryan Poopie 7.3 powerstroke engines cant be blown through with standard 9mm bullets police forces use. In the end, they put a 50. Cal bullet into the driver through the windshield. But I doubt they could have hit him anywhere else with the amount of armor it had.
