It's amazing to me that you have so much video footage from the mid-90s. I'd walk back and forth between Armory and Bulldogs when I lived in Atlanta. WONDERFUL times in Atlanta. Sometimes I'd go to Backstreet, too. Thanks for sharing.
RIP to my husband, Kevin E Riddle(1962-2007) Kevin and I met at the Armory in 1987 and were married at Peachtree North Apartments on the corner of Peachtree and North Ave in 1988. We remained together until his passing in Raleigh, NC. You are always in my heart and will always be missed. I must thank Joel for getting him cocktailed up enough to take me home, lol ;) Love and miss you all, Steve Davis
Mitch, I can’t tell you how many incredible memories this brings back. I watch his video and I instantly remember hitting the Armory every Saturday night with my friends followed by Backstreet from 1988 to 1998. I cherish the years I lived in Atlanta. Thanks for posting this...wish there were more videos like this!
Wow. That takes me back. I have wonderful memories of the Armory and Mitch, David, Darrin, Joel, Max and everyone who made it such a special place to be. You made us all feel part of the giant Armory family.
Talk about a flashback! My friends and I used to go the Armory during this time (90-94/95) We would always party there until 2 or 3 AM, then trot over to Backstreet until...whenever... I recognize some of the faces here. It was a great place and I met some really hot guys there as well :-) Bartenders were always nice and music was great. Thanks for posting!
BRAVO! this video captures the gay family atmosphere the Armory had. It was the last club in midtown where you new you had a line of guys and friends waiting to ask you to dance...and boy did we dance! By far this video has really opened up the door to such a sweet time,,,,,thank you Mitch!
