Chobham, Surrey.
Medium panning shot of a moving vehicle which looks like a tank. Interesting thing is that it has proper tyres (three pairs). Vehicle stops in front of an officer standing in the middle of the road. M/S of a man climbing down the vehicle. Two officers salute.
This is steel vehicle "Saladin", armoured car designed to be the principal reconnaissance vehicle of the British Army. It is in the Army's Fighting Vehicle Research and Development Establishment at Chobham, Surrey, that the vehicle was created. Voiceover talks about its characteristics.
Several M/S and C/U shots demonstrating vehicle's capacity and characteristics. M/S of the armoured car moving. Its top is opened and one of the crew is observing the terrain. Vehicle arrives at polygon where it is tested in front of the camera. "Saladin" drives across the line of humps, across icy terrain, drives upwards etc. The two men who saluted to each other previously are now monitoring the vehicle being tested.
Vehicle manages to overcome all the obstacles. The two men climb up and drive off.
Note: Mute neg for this story is missing.

Amazing facts: the Rolls Royce B80 engine which powered the Saladin, as this vehicle was known, had a few parts in it once used by the Roll Royce Silver Ghost engine, which I think dates back to about 1912. How did the Russian Army sleep at night?

The British Army seemed to have a good run in procuring recce vehicles from WW2 into the 70's: Dingo; Daimler; Ferret; Saladin; Fox; Scorpion; Scimitar. Not a lemon amongst them.
