The game released at the worst time. Bigger and better games overshadowed it and left it in the dust. Released with more content at a different time, the game could have succeeded more, but for now, it's not nearly as popular as it could have been.

Also making more characters just to save the game is bad business practice. Games should be completed and filled BEFORE the release.

Hype aside, all DLC chars were pretty great, but I found Lola and Misango dissapointing lore-wise, since they are not really important to the lore of the game

Wait... how much coding DOES 1 character take? They have the skeleton and some incredibly general animations already done, maybe needing a little tweaking. I guess concept could take a bit of time, but now that I think about it there was that data mine a while back that kind of foreshadowed this, so these characters are planned for from the start, or atleast most of them... They would need to write some junk for grand Prix mode, get a voice actor for her. Model her stage, model herself. Polish that a bit, and... idk, adding nun chucks doesn't seem like too much. I guess a month sounds right, I'd say a little less then that.

Everyone is on Splatoon since it's the new hotness and more popular and crossover audience between the two. But Nintendo games have long-term popularity so I don't ever see Arms dying like you see for third party online games (CoD, Battleborn). It will persist with a sizable dedicated playerbase for years and the drip feed of content and a future price drop will see waves of new people coming in.

Anson the pro! Ahm, no. It is always ten AI-Players to defeat, 10/11 (depending on what difficulty level you are playing) rounds. It makes no difference how many characters are in the game. If you mean you need to master another character, I do not think that this is the case, since the AI always plays the same and ARMS arms are really easy to master.
