exactly. I think its gone even further than Splatoon in that aspect. Splatoon also got better as we saw more but this game's depth i think goes further.

What are you even bringing that up for? Splatoon isn't a fighting game. That's a false equivalence. Fighting games get by by having rosters of different characters to chose from, which ties into the strategy. Even someone not familiar with the genre should know that much.

Exactly! Shooters aren't about characters, they're about weapons, unless you're playing overwatch.

shupasopni Doesnt matter. lots of fighting games have done fine with few characters. the only thing that matters is how different people use and customize them. this is literally no different than what splatoon offered. whether it as fighting or shooting. The fact is, they're giving you interchangeable weapons there's no point in adding more characters if other characters can use another characters arms. the only thing that differentiates one character from another is their personal moves like the mummy's super armor and minmin's kicks, or springman's determination mode. 6-8 characters is enough special abilities to choose from for someone to main and utilize that character. I understand why everyone might be upset over this small roster but it has literally no effect on the game besides aesthetics. and Sayr This isnt about characters. its about the perfect arm customization to win. that's why is just called "Arms" that immediately changes when, like i said before, characters can use another characters weapons. just like splatoon. if you didnt wanna use a splat roller, you could use a sniper. What other fighting game allowed you to change a characters fighting style to a totally different characters? Dragon ball Z games dont do that, Mortal combat doesnt, street fighter doesnt, Naruto games dont, dead or alive you name it, if you know a game that did, i doubt they had many characters. for a deeper example, in a game like super smash brothers, you cant switch mario's attacks to use links master sword or kirbys copy ability. doing so would defeat the purpose of other characters and having a roster of over 50 characters would be wasted hard work. SSB and the other games aforementioned are games where the multitude of characters actually matter simply because their attacks and styles are specifically tailored to them. Not arms, If every character were stuck with the arms assigned to them THEN more characters would be required, but the number of Arms supplied throughout the game surpass the amount of characters and the fact that anyone can use them means that the combination possibilities are twice as much if not more. making it unnecessary to add anymore characters unless again, its purely for aesthetics.

Mandarin student here, that's not true. Noodles - 面条 - Miàntiáo. However Mian means flour, and noodles is, of course, flour-based, so you are also correct, in a way. Still not so close to "Min", let alone "Minmin".

Roses are red, that much is true. Violets are Miàn means flour? I've been learning Chinese my whole life, and I've always thought that it meant noodle. I think on its own it means noodle, but Miàn Fěn means flour. Correct me if I'm wrong.

+enderBoy39 We discussed this a long time ago in my class - Mian is not stand-alone flour, but rather a subheading for flour foods. Mianbao (bread), Miantiao (noodles), etc. Mian never means noodle.

Mian could be noodles if it's stand-alone. Like 我在吃面 (Wo Zai Chi Mian - I'm eating noodles)
