Following up on the recent 935mm performance mast review, here is a brief additional look at the 795mm performance mast in use with prone surf foiling at my local. A great length for this genre of foiling, and a good one off length if you were travelling with just one mast for multisport foiling.
The Armstrong performance masts are available in 795mm (Reviewed), 935mm (See other review) and 1035mm lengths.

I’ve got the original 72cm and the new 795 performance mast. While just messing with it, it’s slightly stiffer but nothing crazy. Pumping it doesn’t feel all that much stiffer. Where the true stiffness seems to come into play is turns. The original mast almost has some flex and lag where the board exits the wave and the wing seems to still be on the wave. The performance mast seems to feel like it’s following you closer. The biggest change for me is the foil section that pumps easier and has a little more speed. You can sink this mast and recover easier than the original. Worth the extra cost? I don’t think so. But if you’re pushing the limits and need to upgrade, sure. Or if you have the money and buying a new setup, sure. But would most people need this mast, absolutely not, in my opinion
