"Friggin Awesome !" (You could hear the crowd even before he got close to the stadium "nice"). As badass as the F-14's & Blue Angels are, back in the day when I saw the Golden Knights & the Army helicopter teams perform - that's what cemented my decision to become a Soldier & a Paratrooper (82nd Airborne / "All the Way !"). Out friggin standing ! / "Go Army !"
I made demo jumps on Ft. Sam Houston and Randolph AFB. I was a sport jumping skydiver with Alamo .Skydivers, a club on base in 1976. I thought those landing areas were tight, and I was jumping a “ state of the art “, paracomander canopy. Then I came back to the sport and learned to fly the “ new fangled “ square canopies. Those guys were sweating bullets flying into that stadium. No matter how good or experienced you are flying over people will tense up the best skydivers. I just hope that the two jumpers landing facing each was planned. The basic rule is that once the first jumper lands that’s the direction all others will land. It’s not something that changes at the last minute if you’re watching the traffic like you’re supposed to be doing then you’ll see the base, turn, and final approach and fly the same pattern.
That was cool as hell to see. I've never watched anyone steer themselves with a parachute like from jump to land. I've saw them in person of course but not like this. That was cool.....
No Chris, just you my man - you'll receive the bill in the next few days. Good Lord, aren't you a happy person. Light'n up Sir & just enjoy. 🧐🤨🙄🥷✌️😎🍻🕊️
