Gene Siskel is a heathen. He literally witnesses the greatest line in cinematic history and goes "Never seen that before".

Fun fact: Filmmakers Adam Marcus and Dean Lorry got to visit the set of the castle and asked the makeup crew if they could borrow the Necronomicon for their movie they were working on, Jason Goes to Hell: and use it as an Easter Egg in Jason's house and implying Jason Voorhees is a Deadite. While Sam Raimi blindly assumed they were just fans and was nice enough to let them borrow it, he reportedly was furious when he found out they used it for their movie. For many years, while many fans believed the movie was implying Jason being a Deadite (which the director confirmed was the case,) the writer felt the Necronomicon being there had nothing to do with Jason ever being a Deadite and was just a little cool nod for horror fans.

Army of Darkness is my favorite movie of 1993 like Demolition Man and Jurassic Park.

Although I like the title "Army of Darkness", It probably would have done better if it was called "Evil Dead 3". But you know Universal likes to screw everything up

Universal ALWAYS interfered with what Raimi wanted to do. You should hear some of the stuff Universal cut from Darkman , plus the stuff they cut that Raimi and Tapert snuck back in the night before the distribution prints were made

In the title when the movies starts it say bruce Campbell vrs army of darkness, raimi wanted it called medieval dead and the box cover and theaters just called it army of darkness , im a just call it a good movie

@@TotalMeltdown2 I don't see how it would be "too cheesy" considering the entire movie is absolute cheesiness and campy. I think it perfectly fits with the movie's tone very well.
