Nobody had a career like Arn Anderson. For more than three decades he has been the epitome of “old school.” Hear him as you’ve never heard him before every Tuesday at 6am Eastern as you gives you a peak behind the curtain for the first time ever. Each week Conrad Thompson will examine Arn’s days in the territories, becoming an Anderson, creating the Four Horsemen in the NWA, becoming a Hall of Famer, and being a producer behind the scenes for years for WWE proving “The Enforcer” has a story unlike anyone else. Known for his trademark Spinebuster and incredible “promos” in front of the camera, it’s his timing and wit that has kept “the boys” in stitches behind the scenes. Hear for yourself why ARN is the new “symbol of excellence” in professional wrestling podcasting exclusively on Westwood One Podcast Network, Tuesdays at 6am Eastern.

He also destroyed probably the greatest era of wrestling in a young man’s life with his bone head business decisions.

I used to work out at Golds in Pineville and saw Arn working out on a few occasions. I wanted to say Hello so badly, but it was more than clear he didn't want to be bothered. Extremely stern disposition and no eye contact. Probably would have received a spine buster if I tried, but I still regret not saying Hi. Always one of my favorites.

When asked a question Jim Crockett folded his arms in front of his chest before answering that's very telling

Mid Atlantic Wrestling was so important to people in the Carolinas during this time period, people were absolutely devastated when Tully, Arn and Ric left. Within a couple of yrs, WCW was so bad, no one really cared about anything thing that was going on in wrestling anymore.

I have to say this Arn Anderson is the perfect example of a man's man. He always gives it to you straight and with no bullshit in between.

Arn and Tully left for the WWF and wrestling was never the same. Every version of the Horsemen after were Horsemen in name only. The glory days of wrestling died that day. Some fans look at the NWO days and the Attitude Era as wrestling's best days, but to me they don't compare to 85-88 JCP.

My dad told me about a match back in 1988 where Tully was the only member of the Horseman to wrestle that night at the Norfolk Scope. He said he ran into the ring and beat his no-body opponent in less than 2 minutes with a sling shot suplex. This must have been around this time, Norfolk was one of those pain in the ass smaller airports to coordinate sperate flight arrangements. Tully might not have been able to meet up with the other Horseman and took the Norfolk scope match as an alternative in order to get paid.

Jimmy Crockett is a liar....Why would Tully get upset if he got "Caught" talking to Turner's People? Crockett had no idea how important T4H was to his promotion, and how important TB was to the Horsemen. That you would leave TB & AA without contracts while Paul Ellering is getting paid is ridiculous....Not much longer until Dusty was in Polka Dots after AA & TB left JCP...

it stuns me how people have to stick with their talking points forever. maybe it was just my autism, but if i were jim crockett, i'd just say "yeah, i did tully to tell the truth to turner, which i wouldn't have done if i had any inkling that he'd throw us under the bus"

Did Jim Crockett sell because he wanted to get out of the business or because he needed the money ? Warren Buffett's known to purchase good businesses and leaving the management in place so that he doesn't have to run them himself. Things under Turner seemed to be chaotic I wonder why they didn't leave Jim Crockett in place for a while to run the business and teach his eventual replacement someone he could possibly have picked within the existing organization.

The more I hear about the dealings of WCW backstage the more I believe it was all about WWE becoming the "only show in town"...it controls the consumer more than anything...take a look at the atmosphere around us today and the control being taken over everything...this is just a piece of the puzzle...
