Steve is steve and arnel is arnel .we proud of him being part of the journey band .and filipinos love to sing the journey songs especially open arms ..
Perry was untouchable but you can't deny the incredible talent of this filipino singer.He is unbreakable n unbelievable.I gave my hats off to him.You are not listening to music if you don't recognize this guy.
Pineda has an incredible voice. Perry had an high range for a man. Perry was singing opera to rock music. Pineda picked the hardest person for a man to sing to, and is not only doing it, he is exceeding it. It does not diminish Steve Perry to have another singer perform his works, and reproduce them. It immortalizes him.
Haters are every where! I grew up a huge steve perry fan and now I am a huge arnel pineda fan. Just appreciate talent you dummies. Journey rocked and STILL rocks!!

Pineda's talent is uniquely his own and it should be his voice that should be the standard of comparison as his just blows your mind away! Bravo Arnel you have traveled a long long way!
There will always be comparisons, particularly since one of the big reasons that Pineda was selected and works so well is that he is a similar singer. The old hits were constructed for Perry's style, and a good singer with a different style wouldn't work. Personally, I think Pineda's awesome.
I hope you get to see them in concert! Extremely energetic and emotional. Love Arnel! My friend and I saw them at the Forum and I saw so many people with tears streaming down their faces including me 😊
all i can say is he started very young and singing journey not knowing some day his dream of makin it big would come true on the band that everyone knows... thats a dream come true we never thought steve perry would leave journey....who doesnt love journey...

Lol so many haters. YES WE GET IT. STEVE WAS GREAT. However, Steve made his own decision to leave Journey and the show must go on. Arnel has an amazing voice and is doing an absoultely fantastic job with Journey.
AP is much great higher notes when he sing this song FAITHFULLY than SP.. AP is the longest lead singer in Journey band & considered to be the legend & goat..
No matter what other says... this guy can sing, just close your eyes and listen to him. If only he say his own songs and not other famous singer then he will truly get the reconition he deserves ;)
From Texas. What a beautiful voice he has. I am watching this video in 2022 Arnel has been with Journey for 14 years now and still singing that difficult Journey music. At 54 he still has that amazing stage presence and he is still a Gentle Humble man and Journey is getting ready to tour again is February. Blessings to all. Can’t wait.
Fantastic voice, and what a great story behind Arnel! Everybody should just be happy for this guy, and wish him all the best. I'm a big admirer of Steve Perry's wonderful voice, and wish him all the best of luck too. People unite, not fight.
I found great enjoyment from this. I was entertained. They sound great. Arnel is also pretty easy on the eyes. That counts some. I love Steve Perry and I love Arnel. I'm glad to have experienced both of these gentlemen's performances and wish EVERYBODY health and happiness and music for ever and ever.

Without Steve Perry...the remaining members of Journey weren't trying to replace Mr. Perry, they were looking for a new front man. Give him a chance...he's got heart and soul. I am a fan of both. Hey, while you haters are at it; where's Randy? Things change. It is a natural progression of life.
Arnel has a gift a UNIQUE gift. Not just the gift of voice. As the lord blessed me with that gift as well. No Arnel has the gift to replicate a sound and pitch. And honestly folks unless your a musician you really don't know how difficult that is to achieve. His story is inspirational and touching at the same time. He gave new life to a legendary band. Know one will EVER replace Steve Perry he just is that damn good and gifted. But if there was ANYONE on this earth that could even come close it's Arnel. God bless you Arnel and thank you for keeping the memory of JOURNEY alive...!!!

I was a kid when I first heard this song... Fallen in love for the First time to a classmate in Highschool.... Now.. when I watched this in ELLEN's show.. I said: Damn! you better be good, coz IM going to marry the girl I came fallen inlove with for the first time... The Journey is ALIVE again!!
Several years ago Journey had a series of lead vocalist but nobody gave so much attention like what is happening now, in fact Journey was out of the limelight.Then a new guy came along and suddenly everybody is an expert on music,it is stirring up a lot of emotions, racial slurs are hurled at each other like had never been seen on the RU-vid before.Now ponder on this: A PEBBLE THROWN INTO CALM WATERS THAT CAUSES A LOT OF RIPPLES MEANS ONLY ONE THING....IT IS HEAVY.
if you have nothing good to say just shut ur mouth up bcoz those who hate somebody else is nothing but bitter one..I love both steve and arnel. they sing their songs nicely and enigmatic in their own ways..so just pave listening to it without criticizing..anyway their part of the legendary and famous band of all time..THE JOURNEY..
