Remarkable musicians playing remarkable music. This Irish-inflected, Impressionistic composition was written as a "relaxation" by composer Arnold Bax after he'd finished scoring his tempestuous First Symphony.

Reminds me of a Wassily Kandinski, or maybe a Paul Klee (in places) or perhaps a Jackson Pollack (in a few places). I think the expressions on the faces of the musicians give away a lot, too

Great piece. I've only ever heard this once. Found the score with parts in a pile of garbage when Brown University was cleaning out its music library. I open up the score to find an inscription from Bax himself scribbled in there!! Unbelievable!
