This is a picture comparison between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kevin Levrone. I will be using the 74 Arnold if at all possible and for Kevin I went with the 1994 version, Olympia version in both cases. / sunnywarcloud0601
@@chefmastershake no he wasn't he was 250 in 1971 but not as conditioned. He was 243lbs in 1974. Not that it matters at 6'1 1/2 and that weight that's a very impressive physique
@@samraizshoaib585 He has Bodyparts that are still unsurpassed. Even today. That side chest looks like a plane can land on it. And his biceps look like mountains.
@@sonyx4500 he has one bodypart that is unsurpassed and that's his chest. His biceps have been surpassed by Robby Robinson, Ronnie Coleman, Marco Savolainen and Flex Wheeler in his prime. Among others.
The way to look at these kind of comparasions is if Arnold was taking what Kevin was taking he most likely would be winning but there is 20 years difference at a lot changed from the 70's to 90's in terms of drugs and their intake. Arnold was way ahead of his time. Kevin does deserve to win.
Arnold was perfect for the era he was in...but he made it his era.; he created it. He will always be the face and physique of bodybuilding and comparisons like this will always continue. Arnolds physique was something the world had never seen. Levrone will always be my second favorite bodybuilder of all time.
Even flex wheeler did this in his fdb I believe it’s too show the biceps more in a different way like the variation in how the peak looks and probably more of a old school thing. They probably thought it looked more aesthetic.
just goes to show how ahead of his time arnold really was, when his time was 25years before kevin's time and 20years between the pictures and he can still hold his own against him! gym equipment, gym knowledge, food knowledge, food nutrition, new drugs, supplements just everything in kevins era was so much better than arnolds time in the 70's etc, arnold and them golden era guys started it all he had no1 to learn and teach him, everything was still a closed book back then by the 90's it was a open book they learnt from the previous guys and had 20 plus years of knowledge unlike arnold and them guys! just imagine how good arnold would of been and looked if he was born 20years later and he was competing in the 90's and 2000's because no1 had a better work ethic, mind set and drive in the gym than arnold he pushed the human body to its limits back then it was unheard of and he would of done the same in any other era,you can only beat whos put infront of you and if he was born in this era and he knew he was up against these mass monsters that would give him that push he would want to push his body to the limit to be the greatest just like he did in his era to be the greatest :)
@@danme9789 Levrone takes the side chest and can reasonably take the front double. Id give both shots to him especially if we had colored photos of Arnold.
Not comparing apples with apples here. Arnold is clearly the bigger man but the drugs had advanced in 20 years. Arnolds arms are better as is his chest. Much more streamlined and asthenic.
Before, I thougt it's a clear thing for Kevin. But now I prefer Arnold. And if I think to the progresses in knowledge, drugs, stagepresentation, light, camera ... make your own opinion
He doesnt have abs, he doesnt have big enough shoulder compared to his chest, not big enought triceps because of his biceps, subpar forearms and even tho his back is striated its not thick like samit bannout. So no he doesnt have everything but he is more than thr sum of his parts with his masterfull posing he hides his weakness while focusing on his strength and all his setback is what makes him look aesthetic.
@@joebananas1088 Arnold is the most overrated and no version of Arnold would beat Kevin. It´s even an unfair comparison just look at puny Arnold legs and bad four pack and compare it to Kevin´s horse legs and six pack then compare kevins insane shoulders and tricpes vs average Arnold´s triceps and shoulders lol. Not even close, Arnold has better bicep peaks and thats it.
Arnold at 5:57 Beats ANY and EVERY Physique I have EVER seen....Better than all the Legends. Just Flat out AMAZING..and it's the Calves that make it Perfection...they are so HUGE and Dynamic...it's like...just LOOK at that Perfect Back, Shoulders, Arms, Tapered Waist and then on top of all that...BOOM!!! those Calves..like 2 Giant SoftBalls stuffed under his skin...just Otherworldly :)
@@sbdftw1702 Yes it showed off that amazing chest...but aside from everything else Arnold also had amazing Traps too...which does not get mentioned much...
In my opinion, levrone was the first true and last successor Arnold ever had, no one has yet to beat his size with that level of asthetics, and no guys "conditioning" can't make up for aesthetics no matter what judges say or do these days.
If arnold would have had better cameras at that time i think we could have compared better but nonetheless i completely agree with you. Awesome comparison❤️
Kevin Levrone has the most sort after physique of all time, the Marland muscle machine was the best to do it just he had to go up against 2 monsters a.k.a King Coleman and the Shadow Dorian Yates if he was competing in this generation with that 90s physique he'd win everytime no body could beat Kevin at his best #uncrownedMrO
And Coleman himself said that nobody could have competed with Arnold if he had access to todays drugs and training. I put more stock in Coleman than Yates.
@@CycoSven69 he says this cause he respects Arnold very much, he said that "I look like a baby girl infront of him" which is not true Ronnie Coleman was as big as a rhino he was unmatchable. Levrone is obviously better than Arnold but the fact that he is comparable with the best of the 90s is a big thing.
@@Baba24M As big as a rhino, yet not when it came to measurements compared to Arnold. Arnold was 260 lbs in 1974 (248 on stage). He was miles ahead of his competition. And he would be in the modern era too.
Arnold Schwarzenegger would get exposed if he were around in the 90s or any era after the weak era he competed in. The era Levrone competed in was much harder and was chock full of top flight competitors, all of who would abolish Arnold. Why? Simple. He was the most disproportionate Mr. Olympia to compete on the stage. He had a) Poor delt development that was overshadowed by his massive chest. His sloping shoulders all but disappear regardless of what pose he takes because of his outsized chest. B) His triceps are weak and not properly developed to match his larger biceps. C) His shoulders to waist ratio is off and odd looking thanks to his boxed waist. D) That boxed waist holds a midsection that has no ab development or definition. His abs are at best a 2 pack blur. E) His quads have no outer sweep to speak of and while defined they clearly lack the full muscle density that virtually every 90s competitor had in spades ♠️. F) he has no hamstrings. From the back and sides he looks anemic in the leg department with not nearly the striations, density and full development that Levrone has. The only outstanding part of his legs is his calves. G) His back is decent but flat as a pancake. H) He looked at times smooth. His Conditioning is nowhere close to the level of Conditioning Kevin and the cream of the crop of the 90s era competitors possessed. Even in 1974 supposedly his biggest and best he still gets smoked by Levrone, Yates, Paul Dillet, Flex and the top ten from the 90s. Ronnie Coleman was simply respectful and diplomatic when he spoke that nonsense about Arnold and better drugs. Coleman is not a certified physicist. He doesn't know How Arnold would respite today's gear. Gear doesn't alter genetic flaws and Schwarzenegger had several flaws. These pictures do not tell the TRUE story here. Side by side in real time Levrone would expose Arnold badly. All Schwarzenegger had was size and even then that would not save him with the criteria judges use today. He can't escape from avoiding mandatory poses like he did in 1980 with Weider protecting him.
Arnold was so far ahead of his time it's crazy. It's just like any comparison of him to guys of 20+ years later - if he had the weapons they had (GH, tren, slin, peptides, t3, clen, dieuretics, etc), he very realistically coulda been onstage around 275-280 and more ripped. Along with adhering to the increased demands of leg & back development needed to win in later eras, he would have got it done. He had that winning factor. Levrone had the best side chest shot of his time. The studio pic you used for the front double bi comparison is epic - exact scale, angle and similar lighting.
Well, Arnold would have ruined his midsection. Realisyically he'd be worse in the front latspread. And we don't know how he'd actually respond to steroids of today.
@@lateralus2199 of course, as he would get destroyed by all top 90's guys. Would you expect any different considering the increased amounts of PED's, more variety of PED's, GH & slin use of the 90's guys? Take Kevin and warp him back to the early 70's, have him run a cycle of that era with only what they had available. Also be sure to let Kevin know that back and leg training isn't as much as a priority since judges don't focus on that near as much as 90's. Oh yeah, also let him know conditioning doesn't have to be as extreme . His physique will be quite different, as would any 90's guy. Gotta keep it real when comparing such extreme difference in era's dude.
@@tankhank7511 Just Arnold did when he passed his predecessors with his drug use and even more drugs when he competed against his contemporaries while they were competing against him. Same old story I'm afraid. As far as your fantasy scenario Kevin going back in a Time Warp back in the 70s or vice versa, you are speculating. We really don't know that. That never happened and it never will happen. Right now we are comparing the best of Arnold (which was in 74) with Kevin levrone in 94. Through the comparisons of the photos that are put for us to analyze, we see that Arnold is losing. This is a comparison video. Arnold is tiny compared to Kevin. Lervone beats him mercilessly. Today's Warriors are even bigger. It's amazing!
ARNOLD IS THE BEST IN ALL POSES !!! KEVIN IS GREAT BUT ONLY IN DEFINITION THANKS TO THE HELP OF DIURETICS, WHICH DID NOT EXIST IN THE 70's Arnold and Kevin GOATS
If Levrone competed in the 70’s he wouldn’t win anything, they’d say “His legs are too big, no one wants to look like that”. And most muscular this guy must be on drugs Arnold’s upper is HUGE, chest into shoulders remember Arnold COULD have got bigger but back then they CARED ABOUT BALANCE, remember what bodybuilding was, extreme men, motivation for the average guy to read magazines, order protein shakes, NO ONE WANTS THIGHS THAT RUB TOGETHER
I, and all normal people will NEVER pick a guy with giant legs, in Arnold’s time guys and judges cared about BALANCE, it’s why Tom Platz never went anywhere , huge legs, huge legs throw the entire body out of whack and make the upper body look small. To date NO ONE has been able to match Arnold’s mass WITH a tiny waist and in proportion legs. People try to compare Arnold to modern guys but what they don’t understand is that if Arnold knew judges no longer cared about balance he’d just put on endless mass, blow up to 275 and it would be equal, so comparisons aren’t accurate. Also Arnold didn’t have the drugs these guys had, so he would have been more ripped also. Try comparing Arnold’s biceps and chest with modern guys, NO ONE can match Arnold, not even blown up mass monsters who have no balance
Like 5/6 top 90s guys would smoke Arnold and they have no titles as the 90s was riddled with the best competitors of all time... Flew Wheeler, Shawn Ray, Kevin Levrone etc
Arnold loves Levrone, he's his favorite Arnold classic champion & if Arnold had a choice Levrone would have been Mr O. Check out 96 levrone looks like his son when getting the trophy.
If Arnold competed same time as Ronnie and Kevin, he would’ve been bigger and better conditioning and probably would’ve won at least 5 Mr Olympias, idk bout 7 tho
I’m not just blindly picking Arnold, I’m giving real reasons why Arnold can’t be beat. Who, reading this would seriously want Levrones physique over Arnold’s? That’s what I thought, no one wants to be 5’8” with thighs that rub together, no sharp biceps, no chest, wearing pants and everyone thinks you’re fat, whereas Arnold could wear normal pants, yet still have that booming upper body. Levrone only wins with detail, but that’s from drugs, even so the crab pose Arnold was more detailed
Arnold's legs had superior separation in the quads. Lats are way better and go down lower for Arnold and as for the pecs there's no contest. Levrone as good as he is does not have the pec development and has a torn right pec to boot which throws off the symmetry. Arnolds arms in the front double biceps are superior as well. Score: Arnold wins easily by a long shot.
Come on man Arnold’s chest goes into his shoulders!!! You could use the mass of half Arnold’s chest to fill Levrones, it’s no contest Arnold’s chest is like a slab of beef, Biceps blow Kevin away also
Levrone is literally 3 inches shorter and 20lbs heavier. I dont think arnold would win 1 pose…. Levrone has 32 inch legs, 24 inch arms alot bigger than arnold. And lets talk conditioning
Of course Kevin was much better than Arnold. No doubt for me. He was uncrowned mr Olympia, four times runner-up mr Olympia in real golden era time, in 90's, when there was a lot of greatest body builders ever.
Kevin's most muscular beating Arnold's? Not a chance. His delts are out of proportion to his pecs. Striations? Arnold hands down. Of course there's the obvious "what if Arnold was using modern" , well everything, the gap would widen even more.
If they stood beside each other on stage ... Kevin would blow him away that's just how it is ....look at big Lou when he came back he was way bigger ...and the guys blow him away so let's face it not even close...he was good for his time but ...not like the monster s today
Levrone all the way. These pictures don't do Levrone justice in terms of his shoulder to waist ratio. Even then his superiority is evident. His detail, superior conditioning, definition, quad sweep, full triceps with outstanding biceps, thick detailed back, small waist with etched deeply cut abs and his humongous bowling ball Delts etc .... this is not even a fair contest. Arnold had serious disproportions from head to toe. Full biceps with no triceps. Poor delt ratio compared to his oversized chest, back with no elite level detail, boxed waist with a blur for abs at best and decent legs with no outstanding outer quad sweep. His calves were the best part about his legs. His hamstrings non existent. I'll leave the usual worshipping fanboys to drone on and on about what Arnold meant to them and to bodybuilding etc....also the wishful feelgood fantasy about" oh if Arnold had today's gear " nonsense. His physical flaws weren't going to improve regardless. This topic is about an actual physical comparison based on proper judging criteria and analysis and in that area, If you're a unbiased aficionado then it's clear Levrone takes this with much room to spare.
WHAT? Lol oh man.., Arnold eats Kevin for breakfest in the hands clasped most muscular no doubt! And again WHAT? Kevin won this comparison? Man please delete your channel... You have no idea.
@@medicinein3mins480 Take it with a pitch of salt; 70s bodybuilder against a 90s the drugs had moved on, so if Arnold was 20 years younger and had competed in the 90s do really think he would look the same in the 90s era, I think not. Not knocking Levrone he was an uncrowned Mr Olympia but these comparisons are just for fun.
@@philallen2517 oww yeahh I understand what you are saying, and it makes a lot of sense. All I'm saying is Arnold didnt have a great back, definitely not a thick back, it was wide sure, but not thick. Look at Kevin Levrone's back and compare with Arnold in respect to thickness
The camera angle is cheated for Arnold not for Kevin, there is no battle Arnold did 106kg on stage for 1.88m and Kevin did 122kg on stage for 1.78m. Kevin was bigger that's all no discussion
Levrone never weighed 122kg where did you get that nonsense? Kevin himself said he competed around 240-245lbs Arnold weighted 245lbs in his best year in 1974. So they were near the same weight with Arnold being taller. So yeah levrone was heavier compared to his length but he wasnt heavier in his total weight. He never weighed 122kg on stage.
Arnold 's body sturcture bigger than kevin by natural but in 70s that bodyweight only 220-235 pound enough for compete and can win in Olympia and arnold more cut and deep cut in detail because he clever for using weight for training his muscle (he using light weight for train muscle for deep cut at near skin , not use heavy weight training muscle , it use force from the bone to 80% not 100% to use force from real muscle and did not training at near skin, but It is training at neal bone , like Mike mentzer he use weight more over for train
