Greg definitely ran the company (grew it massively and took profits) and was able to do it with the least rents model and not “that’s just business”. Private equity destroys companies.
Honestly Pedro, you need people that don’t directly rely on CrossFit or the CrossFit games as a “career” or to make a living. You need people who are independent of the ecosystem to give real opinions and create a little controversy and entertainment
100%. Absolute shocker that they all thought affiliates were getting an ROI or might 6-12 months from now. Right from HQ communication playbook with “depends”, “maybe”, “we will see”, “6-12 months”.
I loved the behind the scenes last year but was it really as successful as other years? 2017 BTS Consistently had over 100 thousand views while 2023 is only looking at 30-40 thousand. It could have been more successful if CrossFit would have jumped on board and actually promoted it but is the bar so low these days that a drop in views of over 50% is considered a success?
It is so abundantly clear... CrossFit HQ needs to be sold to a very special buyer. One who is not PE, will not "merge" with other methodologies, and one who will help THE BRAND grow. only way this will happen is if the affiliates make it known they want this. or else they will de-affiliate until it happens
