Abstract: ARPool is an augmented reality system designed to assist shot planning and execution in a game of billiards. Using a projector-camera combination, ARPool is capable of detecting the ID and location of each ball on the table, as well as tracking the position and orientation of the pool cue in real-time. This information is fed through a custom pool physics simulator to obtain a complete table-state timeline of the shot. The shot data is dynamically rendered in real-time directly on the surface of the table using 2D graphics.

That’s live! This will make teaching points & shots much easier being they can actually see the travel lines from a true shooter perspective (not from the top like on the video games), after some practice, the eyes will automatically start picking up the points on the table! Some people will still see the lines even when they’re not on…🤗 Keep Tweaking It!!!❤

people who are saying it's cheating... i dont think thats what it's ment for, its more of a training program i would think.

I got an app for my google glasses called "straight shooter"it uses augmented reality and it's amazing. I adapted my glasses using a cheap pair of sunglasses so you don't see I'm wearing them, I walked into my local pool club a couple of weeks ago and cleared up,every shot was straight in and people were breath taken, this is a real game changer I am thinking that after a while people are going to make this illegal to use when playing pool, but their saying google glasses could become contacts.

You Cheated, Flat Out. That’s like using aim-bot. Using it to sharpen your game is one thing. But using it real life shooting (& you’re the only one with it), is just not right. Everyone wants to bypass the “ladders and levels of skill”, want to come “in” as the “baddest”. Practice.

If affordable enough it would be great in non-pool halls... Most people that play when they're out really aren't great at all and I bet it would rake in money.

can't work all the time, since the speed of the ball is obviously not constant....since it is controlled by a human. the calculations would not be correct all the time if the speed is not constant.

I agree. If you can't find the angles with your own eye sight then you won't be a good player at all. Hell how would you even shoot without the lines telling you where to shoot? This is a crutch and youd get wrecked in a bar.

they should invent glasses that do that and only you can see it now that would be helpful when i get drunk. lol. using this would help you with your angles and if you are already good then you will get better. i dont think its fun playing with this all the time its more of a practice thing.. sure its unfair cause i had to learn the hard way. repetition makes perfect so if you repeat a shot with this then latter you wont need it anymore cause you learned the angles and the table. but if you suck at pool then you wont even be able to aim at the right spot LOL...
