By far, the most intelligent and completely comprehensive explanation of the "keyboard world" I have ever heard. What is telling is the fact that not once does this gentleman play a note. EVERY video on RU-vid, when talking about a keyboard, the presenter will 'press a key' for some reason or the other. Not this guy. No time for it. The intellectually verbal explanation cuts through. Thank you.

Great advice from a great Maestro of music. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts in English to a wider audience. Very much appreciated.
Very well explained … better than any other place I looked for the differences and application of these different types of keyboards. Thank you for the video !
Thanks for great advice. I am a korg fan. I own pa3x and Kronos. I am waiting to buy their new flagship arranger keyboard. I hope Korg can use more new technology like Kronos sound engine rather than old triton again. Triton has more than 20 year old.
Great detailed explanation. I am a musician and play little keyboard. Primary instrument is a stringed fretted. I Want to add background support to my band. Thank you for your time in explaining.
No one has explained so clearly and steadily the difference between arranger and workstation and those who, like me, don't have English as their mother tongue, can easily understand what you say, So, I say #INCREDIBLE@ Thank you a ton, Tiho you rock!!!
Best analytic explanation on arranger keyboards. I had a Korg PA800 and although it had many tools and features, the sound quality was bad especially when recording to computer for mixing and mastering. Very low clarity and mediocre or even low for most of the sounds. I know Korg PA4X is a much better instrument but I can't afford it and also I don't want to deal with Korg problems anymore. That's why I am considering Yamaha SX900 arranger. I perform for small crowds only and do home recordings.
This was a great explanation for the difference between the two. In fact, I had always thought pricewise that the comparison was quite the opposite. But I guess if one is discussing 'flagships' such as a Pa4, then yes the arranger is more expensive. Normally even the most expensive Casio arranger ( WK-7600 ) would run only about $450.00 US. There's a limited amount of sound editing that's allowed in arranger. My Casio WK-200 has a synthesizer mode which allows this. This is an excellent discussion. Thanks for posting
What a great video..What is the best inexpensive way to get a really good hammond Leslie sounds to add to my songs. The best I found are in old Rolands but those are expensive.I have been using studio one but im new to all of this..thank you
Hi Tihomir, you just made a very good comment about keyboards differences, I agree with you about Korg Pa4X, I never tried Yamaha Genos, but I am very satisfied with the sounds and performance of Korg Pa4X! Thanks for your advice.
Thank you! Very informative. Finally someone who knows what he is talking about. I am a non-professional, but I appreciate receiving information from a professional and not from other non-professionals, who are just guessing other reproducing opinions.
I had for some time thought that using an arranger was "cheating." I don't want the keyboard to play itself. I want to be the one playing the keyboard. But you put it in a good perspective the skills and talents that are necessary to use an arranger effectively when performing as a one-man-band. It's somewhat analogous to an experienced pilot landing a 747, many switches and buttons to press at specific times, all the while still manually flying the plane.
Hello Tiho, very good and clear presentation. I agree with you because I also like SD90 very much, I feel very comfortable with it, and the overall sound is richer than Genos, I find Genos sound like Hifi quality and when you are used to Ketron you find Genos too light sound. However if I want to play New Age, or styles with soft drums, strings or pads, with Ketron is very difficult, because all the drums and styles are very punchy. In Ketron I can not find any New Age styles, smooth drums, and Genos has many. Genos also has the articulation sounds for sax and guitars feature which is interesting. So its quite difficult to decide for one of them if you play all kind of music, because they are very different from each other.
As I tole. Every keyboard have some strengths compering to others. There is not a keyboard that has everything the best. That is why I have both of them.
Excellent video worth watching🔥🔥👍👍👍 Sir pls make a video on which is the best workstation keyboard for live performing among kronos, montage & fantom....
Explanations like these are much needed especially for beginners trying to choose their first keyboard. Thank you for that. Would be great to make a short video explaining the differences between rompler, midi keyboard, synthesizer and how they compare to workstation and arranger keyboard. Also what is your opinion on synthesizers like Waldorf's Quantum and Bowen's Solaris?
But now, things have changed. You have arranger workstations now... the Genos and the keyboards from the PAX line (the PA5X is released) are those kinds of keyboards...
at this moment there is no roland arranger at top level but i wish they can produce something like G70 with sampler an maximum 15 kg weight than I will be more than happy to have Roland
That is an Italian company and spelling is Ketron but USA pronunciation is not how it originally i Europe. Ketron USA (Ajamsonic) in their video have a different pronunciation that is kind of USA pronunciation but Ketron is not USA product and I think that original pronunciation should be used and should be not changed.
You are right, Intergra 7 is Synthesizer (no sampler) but sound is the same like in workstation. Actually in integra 7 are libraries of almost everything made by Roland.
