I could write page after page about how much I love and what and why I love Arrested Development so much, but the best thing I can say.... I love this show, the world it created, it's just brilliant. looking forward to the new series and film :)
Spot on. AD has probably despite of it's short airtime granted me more hours of joy than any other show. It's a show one can watch over and over again.
I just started watching this show in the past couple months. I will say that this show, Scrubs, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia have made me laugh harder than any other thing ever in the history of anything ever.
Such a clever, funny show. It seems to me people nowadays want to watch shows that have stupid humor or shows they don't have to think about to get. This movie will be epic. My brother got me into this show last year, and I love it! Thank God Netflix has it on instant for me to watch!
i think your right dan, i had never seen it on tv, i just got the first season as a present from my hermano because he thought i would enjoy, any of my friends i have told about the show have all loved it, in fact ive never heard anyone say they didnt like it
Hahaha I love when Bateman and Arnett get together, they're hilarious. That one interview of them with Henry Winkler promoting Sit Down, Shut Up is also really funny.
This is the most original comedy of the noughties, perhaps of the last 20 years. (Although The Mighty Boosh is a strong contender for that title) @dan564891 I didn't realise the show had been cancelled when my sister got me the complete boxset for Christmas, it didn't seem short to me. It's quite unusual for British comedies to go over 3 series. And the average series has 6-10 episodes.
Yes, only in America is the genius of the great artist, composer, writer, or thinker unappreciated in his own lifetime until long after he dies penniless and disgraced and is buried in a pauper's grave. What do you want ? The world wants pathos.
@soundslave well they made 2 new seasons for futurama and maybe they will made AD again after the movie but i dont think evryone would play there role if there would start a new season
whenever I see a British comedy, I always get annoyed because they have like 6 episodes per series and I have to wait a long time for a new episode. I can't wait to see this movie and I heard they might do a Boosh movie, which I want to see also.
When you look at all the shows that used to be amazing comedy i.e. Always sunny, 30 rock, The Office...and see how they all pretty much began their downfall after season 3 I have to say Fox's cancellation was probably the best thing for this show. It might not be that the writing starts to sour maybe we just get used to the writing and acting styles so they lose their charms, I don't know. Its just something i've noticed.
I might be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure the Simpsons lost a lot of good writers to Futurama, which really helped its decline. Besides, there are plenty of long running shows that have either kept produciing great episodes (Seinfeld, The Office is on 6 seasons) or evolved into something better (South Park). Arrested Development could have been amazing for 10 more seasons, but we'll never know.
@rubyhaleybenjamin the mere fact that you refer to George-Michael as the actor's name means you're I mean come on are you drunk have you even seen a chicken
@stevieray351 no actually there are quite a few idiots that think that, like me....I'm not hating, simpsons have been my favorite show forever, but you can't deny that it gets a little old....and that there are fresher and better shows out there.
Well, majority of people nowadays ARE dumb, so probably this show was too "clever" for big masses. Which is a real shame. I've only started watching Season 2 and love it soooooo much! I mean, people, please read books or something so that we would have more brilliant shows like this one! And I agree with you on cast :)
i agree that shows often become stale the longer they go and the simpsons is a prime example but i thought frasier was great til the very end, friends however, my god that became so bad. arrested was amazing cant believe it's not more popular
Of course, the show is a classic, but perhaps it's not that bad a thing that they only made three seasons.... after all, the longer they go on, the worse they get (Simpsons, Frasier).
