Digg: digg.com/television/Ricky_Gerv... Ricky Gervais takes his Emmy back from Steve Carell during the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards (edited; only includes essential parts).
@@ryanm4013 No, that’s Carol from The Office. His wife is Nancy Carell. They even have the same last name, which I thought was an interesting coincidence.
@@brianmannion7097 "lmao. Shut the hell up" Somethign tells me you were only pretending to laugh. From laughter to hatred and anger? Dubious. And no.... I won't be quiet. You have zero authority. YOu're an evil atheist bully.
@@scintillam_dei "From laughter to hatred and anger? Dubious". I can tell you're someone that loves the sound of their own voice. You took something that has absolutely nothing got to do with religion and inject it into this video. Keep your religion to yourself unless its related to a video of similar topic
I love the office but it was only great because of Ricky. Notice Carell has never been in anything else worth remembering? Yea, and before you say 40 YOV let me say that film sucked. Steve is driveling leftist trash. Sorry to tell ya mate.
Steve Carell is such a briljant actor, wow, normally keeping a straight face requires people a couple of takes, but he just keeps it up live. Incredible.
It is impressive. His wife is next to him trying to keep a poker face but she keeps cracking up. You'd think that would make him crack too but he sticks to it.
The confidence Ricky has is incredible. Letting the silence ring out like that. Keeps his volume at conversation level for the entire skit. He works a crowd by not working it at all.
Repent to Jesus Christ “I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” Psalms 40:1-2 NIV J
Steve was not acting there at all. Same with Ricky. Sure this was planned out but Ricky is quite honest with others about his show being a bad remake. Lol the face Steve gives to him.. like I'm sorry. I actually felt bad for him. It's not acting at all. I do think UK version is way funnier.
I enjoy every time I see Ricky involved in something. Also his full on laugh is so infectious that I can't stop myself from laughing when he does it. My day is always so much better when I hear that laugh.
Steve Carell wanted to burst out laughing so badly, it was impossible not to notice! Ricky Gervais is a comical genius straight up!!! AWESOME stage presence. You either love em or hate em... I love em to the max! MY 3 FAVORITES; R. Gervais, D. Chapelle, K. Williams. You guys rock the house every single time!
Cody YGarcia it’s amazing watching these, you can go back year after year and remember where you were, who you were, and everyone around you, the times you went through.
For me the best one was 1:42 where he said "I don't think that's the original, I think that's a shoddy remake." That 'shoddy remake' burn was subtle yet awesome! Surprised it didn't get more laughs.
do they have to be next to each other at every award show? secretly gay? concocting dumb liberal skits to throw into their extremely biased and awful shows? questions i'll never know the answers to..
How Steve could sit there with that poker face the whole time was great! Couple times you could see he was ready to crack but he held it like a champion!
@@turin1224 No ..not at all I found him completely insufferable Even when they attempt to give him a nice moment, he just becomes more annoying The problem with the entire series is that they played the characters too straight If it were more like 30 Rock, then his actions wouldn't be so abhorrent He would have been fired from the first episode
@@thomasscott4400 Shit like that is hard watch any show with bloopers people laugh at shit no one can always just keep a straight face even if they know the script shit man tell me that if Ricky Gervais started tickling you trying to get his emmy back whether you were in on it or not you might laugh you beanbag
@@NotAwesomeGabe It's called acting. Once a scene is rehursed, there are no surprises, no laughs. Bloopers are unplaned mistakes that were cut at the time. With a live performance all involved know there can be no retakes, so complete concentration is required, which shouldn't be that hard for a whole three minutes in this case.
You could actually hear the disappointment in Ricky's voice when he announced the actual winner of that year's Emmy. He wanted it SO BADLY to be Steve.
This is divine acting! When you can act out a comedy sketch during a real-live award ceremony! To the extend where many aren't actually sure whether you're acting or you're serious. Love these guys so much!
I don't care about awards shows, but the fact that Steve Carell lost Emmy after Emmy, even in his last year, to that sitcom darling from The Big Bang Theory is a crime. Michael Scott was such a nuanced, subtle, crazy but realistic, real-world character that did not need a laugh track to get results. He was not a cartoon. The fact that The Office has lived on, for almost a decade after it ended, and attracted legions of new fans, to the point that it's the most watched show on Netflix, says a lot. Steve was brilliant in that role. Michael Scott is such a great, growing, funny character. Sheldon is ALF.
I'm just gonna say I'm tired of people hating on Big Bang. Yeah, it has a laugh track which is outdated and takes up a lot of time, but it was done in front of a live audience. Some of the jokes are actually good, I don't know why it became as popular as it was but it was by no means bad. Additionally, I believe playing an unrealistic character is sometimes more difficult than playing a realistic one, Micheal Scott is a tangible objective while Sheldon Cooper is unlike anyone around us. Trying to diminish the acting ability of someone based on the tangibility of a character is like saying Joaquin Pheonix was a bad actor in the Joker.
