15:50 It's RAKHI not bracelet 😢 Here Sister's tie Rakhi to their Brother for their well being and brothers gives their blessings. In short, this is the meaning of RAKSHABANDHAN RAKSHA - Protection BANDHAN - Bonding
If Indian food in Uk is considered Indian, then Manchow Soup, Chicken Manchurian, Chilli Chicken, Golden Fried Prawns, Hakka Noodles, Schezwan Chicken and Darsaan should be considered as Chinese food.
CTM is UK food Indian inspired... It's made in UK, therefore it's a UK dish. Usually that's how food is determined in regards to their origins. On the other hand chili chicken , Gobi manchu etc is Indian, Chinese inspired, but it's Indian as that's where it has originated.
Having Indian food in the UK - I'll tell you this - less than 25 % of the Indian restaurants in the UK are legit Indian restaurants. They are usually Pakistani folks who name it as an Indian restaurant and run it . The Pakistani food is very heavy on oil and just chillis - They do not use other flavors and spices much , the nuanced flavoring isnt there - Most of the restaurants in Leeds , Manchester, Birmingham are Pakistani and Bangladeshi masquerading as Indian restaurants.
@@PraveenKumar-kt1qrsame thing in Houston. We went to a Pakistani restaurant…but every dish had double the oil…but ofcourse crowded by Pakistanis. Nothing really great, we came back disappointed. Had better food.
15:51 that's NOT bracelets 😂😅 Its RAKHI.. For Hindu festival of Rakshabandhan...where a sister ties Rakhi on the wrist of her brother for his well being and happiness. In return, a brother promises her life long protection and give her gifts ♥️ Unfortunately western and its media has no knowledge about our real culture.. Its EXTREMELY rich & ancient but Beautiful. And we love to preserve it.
Why to be shoked? It looks like all the modern big capital in the world ! (Except some very rare cows in New-Delhi , the stunning architecture of Old Delhi, and, of course, the marvelous indian food) Many thanks for your nice video and so sympathetic.
@@carriepatsalis naah! London is nice...Delhi is one of the WORST CITIES in India. Sure, its extremely affordable...and almost everything's available but that's about it. Its polluted. There are places that are much better. Himalyas are better...Kerela is better...environmentally and the standard of living (besides immigrant labor in these state) is pretty good.
15:55 Those were Rakhis . (Rakhis are either handmade or store-bought bracelets that are crafted using brightly colored, sturdy thread like embroidery floss ) . Rakshabandhan is a festival in Hinduism & indian culture that symbolizes the love between Sister & Brother and the bond they share with each other which is mainly celebrated in india & the place where indian origin people live. On Rakshabandhan Sister tied the Rakhi on the Hand of her brother or Cousin brother & in return the brother gives her gifts & promises that he will always protect her . Since Rakshabandhan was on the 30,31 august , those rakhis were being sold.

You did choose to stay at one of the good properties but Mutton Rogan Josh wasn't even close how it should had been...Try Chor Bizzare a restaurant based in Central Delhi near India Gate, on Pandara Road in the premise of Bikaner House
@@carriepatsalis you must visit the ancient Hindu temples of Lord Shiva which witnessed their most advanced and scientific ancient civilizations.. And don't try street food at all the places you visit in local markets etc instead go for a few top restaurants too.. it'll be another great adventure.. trust me..
One of the quickest ways to get possible food poisoning is to eat exposed food that is exposed to moisture [ water ] for example prepared fruit or vegetable salads , when I travel the world , I carry my own peeling item so I can peel fruit that is unpeeled and completely sealed like apples , oranges , pears etc also I don't eat prepared foods unless they are prepared in front of me and cooked in very hot oil such potato chips , If I am unsure of the food when traveling , I stick to dried food such as dry biscuits , package potato crisps etc or dried nuts that I wash before eating and also I buy bottled water which is bottled by well known international corporations .
Visit Aero city, Gurgaon cyber city, Taj Mahal, Kerla Munar, Himalyan cities, Shimla, Kullu Manali, Mclodgang, North East Sikkim, Dargling, Guwahati and Goa
This is, I think, Chandini Chownk in Old Delhi. Very very old area. One can get anything from this place. The 2nd marketplace too though it is more recent 21:23
Did you get Delhi belly eating that street food? I went in 2019 & was very ill for 3 days even though we were so careful - going back in 2 weeks but i would love to try the street food but an worried after my last experience! Thanks for great vlog.
Sorry to hear you were sick.. I didn’t but I am getting used to streetfood. My rules are if you are unsure, stick with vegetarian and go for deep fried.. boiling oil nukes most nasties.. I am absolutely super strict with water.. avoid anything uncooked like salad.. and ease up that way.. also with chai.. if I am unsure of where I am drinking it.. I go for plain no milk.. and last thing I do is go prepared for the worst.. I always go to nomad travel clinic in the U.K. beforehand and buy a pack of medicine from their doctors that includes antibiotics.. so far I haven’t had to use it but my belief is that if you expect it and are prepared it’s better. But I think sensible streetfood choices are the way to go.. I believe I have also trained myself by not eating too much of one thing.. slowly slowly 😁
How come you have the other place's videos before the arrival to Delhi video? Are you from London or North? Coventry ? And I think the trains are frequent in India than London too.
Hi there! I don’t edit in a linear way.. I just go with the story I am feeling creative on at that particular moment and treat them all as standalone stories.. I am about to jump to the golden temple in Amritsar.. hope you enjoy it 😍

I did.. I found it utterly heartbreaking.. I tried to edit it into my upcoming Amritsar video but I can see I am so visibly horrified on camera I didn’t present it clearly enough.. I also went to the partition museum.. again another place everyone should go.. I couldn’t film there.. but it’s a must to visit.
Mind you Indian lemon have more juice than the bigger ones you get in England. Welcome to India. ♥ You should have tried lemonade and sugarcane juice. That is something you wouldn't get in many parts of the world like India. About electrical wires, it's the nightmare for electricians around the world. Usually they just quote you horrendously to rewire the whole house to meet with the compliance. In India they don't even change the wire just patch it. Even if the wires are cheap.
@@carriepatsalis Well when they fly kites they have to untangle huge strings without cutting it off. That's how we train electricians lol Well do try the drinks and lassi. It's something you wouldn't get back home. So don't miss out. And maybe go to a movie theatre. It's a different experience in India. Even it is a Hollywood movie.

Expose your immune system slowly to the street food of Delhi. Else you will get Delhi Belly (infection) and you won't be able to enjoy your trip. Eat at restaurants with proper hygiene and may try street food occasionally. Hope it helps.
