Qatar at #1 is clearly bought. everyone who has been there will say - Nothing special about that airport. You have to walk on the tarmac after getting off the plane. No bridge. So backwards. And it only service 4x airlines while Changi services 12x. The connectivity criteria was around years ago but after Qatar airport came into the picture the criteria mysteriously vanished. We wonder why eh. Many just check the Jewel and totally missed T2 which was recently refurbished and truly amazing. Jewel is an add mall while T2 is an actual part of the airport.
Jewel is essentially a mall that is built next to the airport. Even before Jewel was built Changi Airport has been ranked as the best airport in the world for a long time. As each terminal has their own unique attractions both outside and in transit zones. For instance, butterfly garden, swimming pool, free theatre, sunflower garden, cactus garden and so on. Singaporeans will visit the airport to hang out and relax just like visiting a mall. So it is not just a place where people go to travel out of the country like other airports, but it is also a place for locals (especially for people staying in the East) to unwind.

It's been very very hot these 2 weeks. Please HYDRATE very often. Water is best. Our tap water is potable or you can buy from the local supermarkets and not from convenience stores like 7-11. Will have to pay a bit extra for a chilled bottle. Stay indoors from 11am to 3pm or find shade. Wear a cap and sunscreen if you burn easy. Heat exhaustion is no joke here. Enjoy and have fun 😊
Ah yes that’s right I should have mentioned that but yes I had to fill in an arrival form online only take a few minutes to fill in but makes things much easier when arriving at the airport as you seen very easy entry!
