I got my technician license a week prior to field day and was excited that I got a fair amount of radio time this weekend.
We had a lot of noise on the radio and a lot of noise around me too. Combined with inexperience, some of the call signs were tough to catch.
Glad we finally caught it eventually!
Usually I'd make sure I had all their information BEFORE I called out which made baby of the contacts much easier.
