Haven’t had the big rock out in quite some time decided to take it down to the skate park and as usual the car performed awesome and only had one minor breakage M2C racing link m2cracing.net/ Swag and stickers link inkmonkee.mysh...
Yup. I have a Typho TLR, Kraton 6S and recently bought the Big Rock. And I can tell you the most fun I have is with the Big Rock. The Kraton and Typhon break easier. They're heavier. And the Kraton especially with the Proline 3.8 badlands. Was breaking the 17 hex plastic adapters. Had to get the aluminum adapters. Point being is the weight affects the cars so much more and you end up fixing and upgrading a lot of things before it's reliable. Where as the Big Rock you can get away with a lot before upgrading.
Nice sends. I have a vortek but the esc burned out. Fun trucks for sure. I had a 4s outcast awhile back to that was fun. Once you get hooked 6s trucks just become to good though.
Love the advice that was the best way to start one of these video's as far as people giving others advice go's, Awesome. I will probably be subbing for that.
Nice video. You just convinced me to order a 130a Spektrum ESC off of JennysRC that was made for the Losi Tenacity Pro to make my granite a 4s. It started out as a Granite Mega 550 since then converted it to 3s with the BLX and the metal spur gear as well. Also put on the HR 17mm hex extender with some Pro Line badlands 2.8. Added some RPM big rock / typhon a-arms. Looks almost identical to your big rock. Minus the SWB. Thinking of swapping the chassis over to the big rock to give it more stability. Also agree about your advice. I started out small with the granite mega 550 and slowly worked my way to learning about my vehicle. Now I am addicted and have a Talion EXB and an Xmaxx.
Yeah these are great platform to learn to drive and work on and get comfortable tearing everything apart and they’re just a fun platform and very durable
Awesome man epic video. Couldn't agree more. My son and I started this hobby up with a 3s granite. At the beginning we where happy to have no breakage in a battery cycle. now we push the granite to a galaxy far far away haha.
you are right, every beginner should start slow and learn, not only learn how to wrench but also how to drive. They will thank us later when they are running a 6S or 8S. good bash, liked it
Awesome bash with Big Rock David. Glad to see the little Beast out there again Bro. Taking some Big sends too! It's definitely my favorite in the 3s 4s line when I had it. My experience with them platform wasn't the best tho
Yeah ever since this car came out people either hated it or loved it or held up great or it was a piece of junk it was funny lol. Thanks buddy I appreciate it
I have a very similar setup and the M2C motor plate is a must have for 4s. It’s nice to run smaller rigs once and a while. I like the simple repairs and maintenance of the 3s line. Nice vid!
Well it can always be done and especially if you’re more mechanically inclined I grew up working on dirt bikes and cars so all this kind of comes naturally but I’m glad you’re enjoying it buddy
I enjoy the 3s cars!! But I just got into the hobby a year and half ago. I have 6 of them already!! I love that a lot of the parts are interchangeable between the cars so it makes having spare parts super easy!! 💯💯😉
Been a while for BigRock to come out and play. Would say that this is the best 3s line out there and on 4S it's on different level. Thanks for sharing 👍
Nice mods! I put kraton 6s and limitless shocks on my vorteks... also widened it with typhon 3s arms and turnbuckle. Now my proline badlands fit perfectly 👌
this seems to be the way to go.. but ur prolines didnt fit before? i have integy arms (i know all the hate on metal parts but ive never had issues since the install) right now and i use trenchers no prob
🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏👏 I sent you a direct message saying I saw this, I did not! I was laughing, cringing and crying!🤣 your vids are so damb Awesome! I have to tell you, but this is between you and me. The big rock and granite are my 2 favorite cars. Look at what you just put that thing through!!! And it took it!!!! I’m going to show my fresh build. I have mine set up 4s 135 amp esc and 3900kv I believe? It is so fast it’s insane!! I did a trick so it self rights. I use Mojave tires because they expand and snap the car back on its wheels. I use a over volt 130 c battery. And custom steel driveshafts. My granite is bone stock and if you have seen my videos, you would think it’s modded. I also have a self right trick for that I will show. Sorry for babbling! I just get a kick out of your videos and I think you Trevor and I would have a blast bashing together. We have the same drive it till it don’t drive no more mentality! Your Awesome Brother! Keep me laughing! I need it!!🙏👏👍🤩🤣💯
They really are a fun platform and as long as it’s not freezing cold adorability mainly the chassis, you can’t beat it. But I hope you’re feeling better buddy and I hope you get back to 100% very soon take care man and thank you so much I greatly appreciate the support
Uuo my collection was tip top thanks to running the granite everyday now the list repairs escs wheels and bearings kerosene growing it was ultimately the cheapest way to bash every day
I want to set my Big Rock up just like this. Already ordered the blue body, spoiler, basher bar, 3668 Spektrum, and Max10 ESC, but I’m missing the tires. Do you have a link to the tires or can you tell me what size they are?
That's good advice. Driver errors, maintenance mistakes and neglect cost less on the 3s vehicles. Also, my personal experience with the Arrma 3s vehicles is that the slipper clutch adjustment is crucial. Too tight and you wear though the drive train much quicker.
I run my big rock on 5s with a castle 1515, soon to be a TP 4060 1750kv. Once you do the drivetrain upgrades, the CVD driveshafts, and metal diffs this car is a tank. Lots of people complain about the stock spur gear, but in my experience if you set the mesh correctly it won't strip out. I love the 3s line :)
@@tysemilicia3931 if I remember correctly it didn't specify about 5s ,.I know the kaju esc did and max 8 better esc , I have give try on my old one it has so many runs the wire leads are disintegrating. Lasted way longer than rtr stuff ,just had a blx 185 go up in flames .
hello mate....my stock tires are absolutly gone...so i have to get some and you have in your videos the granite fortress and these proline....which do you recomend?
I actually been through every single part on my granite , most more than once except for one diff maybe and the chassis still on original chassis , I put all salvageable parts back onto the brcc after using as a parts rig . I never had much luck with brcc as granite even though same platform I do have mine also on 4s now with 4s shocks but those stupid barrel nut for extenders stripped either fall off or over tight stretch flimsy axles not sure if I go back to wheel extensions
Hey buddy I'm slowly catching up with some videos I've been mega busy with a new project that's coming soon to my channel but I wanna say a MASSIVE thank u to u for my shout out I now have 201 subs which I gained 29 subs from ur shout out to me .... mate that was unexpected but very much appreciated brother I'm blown away, that big rock is a tank of a car and u know wat they say ride it till the wheels fall off lol 😉👍💪👊 thanks again brother 🤙😎
I can't disagree with the advice at the beginning. There's so much going on with these rigs that you need to learn. Maintenence, temps, alignments and so on. I jumped into the 6s line sooner than I should've. I'll admit that. My mistakes cost me; 5 sets of diffs, 2 esc's, and few other odds and ends. All of which I could've learned on the 3s line, except the 3s rig I had at that time was junk and would never recommend that brand of 3s line to any beginner honestly. I couldn't ever get a full pack through it without breakage. Worst car I ever had so far.
lol everyone just wants the biggest fastest whether they know how to drive or not tbh i like 4s the best and i think im a pretty seasoned driver only been doing it since i was like 5yrs old haha also carrying 1 4s in my pocket is no problem. having 2 3s is another story. 8s size is stupid imo my 8s outcast i hated broke a rear arm every bash.. its the only RC i got and sold within a month i think the Maxx is the best but the price may deter some.. but you gotta pay to play.. and i def have gotten my moneys worth plus some with the maxx v1 and v2 (if i could only have 1 rc def would be it) ps. you gotta hook me up with M2C.. im in canada and its not sold anywhere.. i could def get my LHS to sell it plus i know lots of ppl that would buy there stuff but dont cause of shipping.. me included i can rep them hard here in Canada!!
It is no different than anything else . Buy something you can afford , have fun with it and learn as you go . You wouldn't have a $100,000 budget and go out and buy a Bugatti would you ? I wouldn't !
