The FireTeam platform seems like you can do a ton of different stuff with it depending on how you want to take it. Speed basher, trail crawler, big jumper. Just change something here or there and you can get it to do what you want. I would think Arrma will take advantage of this themselves at some point. In the meantime nice to see what everyone else does. Pretty cool to see everyone upgrading it in very different ways. Usually you see a truck and everyone upgrades in very similar paths, maybe a different motor and esc combo or whatever but to the same effect. Nothing wrong with that but this is interesting to see everyone do something different. Even seen some guys take it and make it a pretty sick street vehicle with lights and nice rim and tire packages. Well done.
Ngl that’s pretty dope… Because in reality you can still kinda bash with it if you wanted too. I tried to trail with mine and it wasn’t fun 😂 Purple Lego RC 💜
I swear, yesterday at my lhs in clarksville Indiana for 399$ ! And he has several! Said it's a pre black Friday sale. Needless to say I bought one! Might go get another! $ 39fucking9$ unbelievable!
I got a deal I could not resist one 1, got it home and checked it out. This thing rocks right out of the box. I made a few changes and have some M2C things and other armoring stuff in the mail. My first big scale purchase has been satisfying. I like your trailing ideas, you helped me with future electronics upgrades. 👍
Sick set up dude. I just got my fireteam off a cyber Monday deal for 399 🎉 and I personally think it’s not meant to be sent 20plus ft in the air. Like you I’m more into off roading with my cars and out the box it takes the dirt very well. I’m really liking the hobbywing system you put in it. I want one now lol. Props bro
Bro I haven't even finished watching this whole video but this a damn cool idea I'm not even a crawler guy but this is a freaking awesome idea I really love what you've done with this truck very very cool and props to you man
I tend to run both my Fireteam, and my Mojave EXB on 4S most of the time. Been thinking I'll turn the Fireteam into a Kraton Xl. Probably going to turn my original Talion into a 1/8 scale SCT.
I'm glad to see someone else also seen the potential of this (Trail Buggy). I used the DX3 like the SCX6 has on my and discovered the AVC knob works the mechanical brake. It allows you to vary brake pressure and the channel three switch still operates the brakes as well. On long down hills you can turn the knob up and apply whatever amount of brake pressure to hold it back without full on or off. Also thank you for the tips for esc and motor and pinion gear, diff and shock fluid. Do you have the part number or where to get the spur gear? Thank you also for driving with two hands and really driving it. I get tired of all the excuses of bad driving or handling because they drive one handed. Show me what the rig can do and not that you can or can't drive one handed.
You're very welcome. That's an awesome idea on the dx3. Yeah lol I hate watching one handed driving lol. The spur is a generic ebay spur. Type arrma 6s spur 52t. That should find it.
Duche Fest caught my attention. Build what you like part sealed the deal. I Had to subscribe. My Fireteam will be here in a couple days? where did you get your locker? is there a "weak link" that i should have on hand ready to go? Thanks.
Awesome 👌. Now drill the rear chassis the same as the front so you can run all steering components and another servo get what u need and have 4WS. Or buy another cut both in half and weld both fronts together. That would be cool as shit
The traction roll isn't bad for being pseudo locked. Some hyrax for the scx6 would be a good mod of crawling is your goal. Good to see a little outside the box mods on a basher
Yeah someone mentioned the scx6 tires. They should bolt right up. Gonna give those a try. Thanks Todd. It looks like such a good trail truck I had to make it one. And I couldn't believe how well it performed.
@@heavymetalrc7520 yes sir, 47% off incredible!, I'm trying to make my friends aware of this deal to get them into the hobby, but they ignored my texts.. I texted them at 8am, it's 1pm and still no response..
This is just what I was wondering. I was going to buy a new trail truck but then the Fireteam went on deep discount. Held off until I saw this video. Do you have a parts / build list of what you used? Thanks for the great video.
I like it . I would like to see it with some different tires though. Something a little softer with a little more aggressive tread. Maybe the mudslingers or what’s that tire you put on everything I can’t remember it might be mudslingers. But nice build bro
I pur gp4 diff with aluninum hot racing geae housing locked in my 8s fireteam. Also upgraded bulk head to aluminum. It ran like shit. Why is that? Keeping aluminum bulk head and switching rear diff back 2 stock. Any ideas why it ran so poorly appreciated.🙏
I had also pick up the Mojave EXB for $332 3 weeks ago. They had a 30% off from Horizon on that sale. I bought it just for spare parts, already have a Mojave EXB.
