BOOST trucks are a money pit. They need so much in upgrades to be worthy of 3S. But worth it over the Fury if you cant stand 2wd. I personally love 2wd, so I'd take the Fury all day, but once you go 4x4 on the Senton it becomes a whole new truck. I love em both

For sure it makes more sense to just buy the 4x4 BLX up front if you want a brushless short course.
@K5_RC
@K5_RC 19 дней назад
@RazorRC Yeah brushless 2wd is kinda crazy, at least 3S or more. 2S is more than enough. 4x4 is soooo worth it most of the time

@@K5_RCi have a 4s traxxas stampede 2wd. This thing is demoniac. Im always on 2wheels and break everything. Pinion or spur ( they are metal) or burst tire conpletely. But it is ultra fun.

@user-hs8nf9ni4q lol sounds like fun. But completely overkill for sure. These can handle 3S-4S power pretty reliably, but there's really no point. I've got a Slash 2wd XL5 and it's plenty of fun on brushed lol

@@K5_RC yeah i have a slash 4x4 too its fun . I got on on 4s and one on 6s. The 4s is fun and the 6s is unusable. Just too fast and too much power. Its full métal but still. Im afraid too go fast with it

Great to watch your comparison. Super interesting to see these side by side. I’m a big fan of what Arrma has done with both

the Fury body is so dope. i want to put one on my 4x4 somehow. i like seeing them go back to where they started. i have to wonder if the Raider will show up again.

I didn't know much about the Fury/Vorteks before they were released, but it's cool to see that it's not just some weird design, but back to where they started from with an update.

@@RazorRC maybe 10-12 years ago i went into a Hobby People when they were still around and almost bought the Raider. it was a cool little buggy that looked more like the old school rc10, kyosho, tamiya, etc. just had a really cool retro vibe to it. it was a twin vertical plate/center mass sort of chassis like these but metal with bracing in between instead of all plastic. i really like the all plastic backbone of this new design and think it will work really well for this sort of class and is easier to work with/in

@thegrafxguy1 love the fury body too. I want a clear one and adapt it onto one of my slashes. I had the raider xl and really loved to drive that thing. But sold it off several years ago due to lack of spare parts.

Every review of the 4x2 Senton shows it to be undriveable on any loose surface, and I don't think many people are choosing a Senton for carpet racing. For the money, the Fury looks like a home run.

I love to upgrade and the senton, vorteks & granite all had the boost with option to upgrade to 4x4. Arrma are now replacing them all with the Fury style chassis like the Gorgon. These trucks look great for beginners and I love a 4x2. Definitely less to wrong. Thanks for the video

I love the old skateboard style of the original Arrmas. The Granite Voltage was a nice return to form. What I really want to see if the upgrades from the Fury and Vortex brought over to a new gen Granite 2wd.

To make any of the 2wd boost perform , weight needs to be added to the rear. Big improvement after that

I'm a big fan of the channel. I wanted to give a suggestion. I think this was a perfect video for some simple on screen text ... as a summary for your comparison. I think it would be even more engaging. Hope that helps.

I figure they're phasing out the boost line, but still have a stock of 'em. Surely they won't keep producing those SKUs with the other options (3s, mega 4x4) they have. The 2wd that's designed as a 4x4 with the front drive removed always bothered me. It's definitely not optimal, and the "boost box" seemed like a scam value-wise. Just sell us a 2wd or a 4x4; There's plenty else we can/need to upgrade.

I think HH is discontinuing the Senton Boost, but they released it after the Mega and BLX, so who knows what their plan was.

Actually buying the 2WD Senton and upgrading it to 4x4 is 10$ cheaper. 219$ vs 169$ + 39$. Whether it's worth the hassle is up to you.

The boost is a failed vehicle. Just get the 4x4. The design was to be a 4x4 making it a 2x4 simply doesnt work specially offroad. The fury well its designed to be a 2wd and has all the geometry for it

Love them or not the Slash 2wd is king of the 2wd sct bashers. That new fury body looks so weird to me ha.

I dunno. Different wheels front and back, unsealed diff, the worst shocks ever made, hard to work on, plastic geared servo, all for only $80 more! 🤷‍♂ They did invent the class, so you have to give them props for that. 👍

Slash is comparable only to the senton m, in that case u have a 2wd with rear motor mount vs a 2wd with central motor mount. The fury is comparable to a stampede with a lcg chassis.

Its actually the worst 2wd. Its a decades old platform that traxxas just want to milk on. It feels like a toy grade. It felt like that on my 4x4 vxl cant imagine a 2wd or brushed

I had trouble with my arrma 3s blx drive train holding up. It was fun and super fast but would kill driveshafts, diffs, slipper at will. I upgraded to Arrma heavy duty driveshafts and then the spider gears in the diffs would blow up. its like nothing on the arrma blx 3s line can handle the power the stock system puts out and does not have a good design for durability. I drive mostly on dirt in desert type conditions and the center housing for slipper would always get a bunch of dirt inside which sucked and caused constant maintanace to take motor module out and clean slipper/motor area. never sell my rc stuff and Gave this truck alot of money and time just for it to let me down time after time so i was so happy the day I sold it. I ended up buying a team associated pro 4 4x4 and love it. Its basically the same as my MT10 and they are both awesome and super durable. I run my pro 4 on 3s in the same area as my arrma and have not had any issues with drive train yet and have about 6 months of use on it vs my arrma maybe last 2 battery packs before something would break in drivetrain.
