I decided to go for the exb , price difference is around £100 , exb max 6 , radio gear , etc , the v5 costs £589 , the exb cost £689 , I would say invest I a stronger basher
My friends kraton 6s blx has all the m2c upgrades to hold up to our bashing. For what I'm using it for im going with the exb. Less money on upgrades when pricing out all the upgrades the blx version needs. But then again i have a motor and esc to drop into it. Only need a remote and servo to get it running. So better value for me I suppose.
I would have to go with the RTR blx version simply for the value. If you plan on bashing and big jumps, you will eventually break something which will be the perfect time to upgrade to the aluminum parts.
I have the EXB Kraton. QC just wasn’t there in these. My differentials came shimmed properly but I need to recheck it. It blew two shocks immediately. Droop wasn’t set properly. Shame on me, shouldn’t have assumed the exb roller would at least be ready to roll 😜. Now that I’ve adjusted a few things I’ve been enjoying it. MAX6 1650kv 18t pinion. I think I need to add some thicker oil in one or more of the diffs. Slipping more than I’d like. I also noticed the extremely vulnerable back section of chassis. Need to find something to brace it. Thanks for the great comparison!
In our County Kraton 1:8 BLX for 619€ and EXB costs 504€. What is not a huge price difference as in 1:5 variant, where it is 1109€ vs 757€ which is a huge difference. In 1:8, there is no reason for EXB. Just change what broke or bend. But in 1:5 variant. In this price gap... there can be max5 combo with ESC. Receiver and transmitter can be used older and servo way better.
you are absolutely right but do you know the term keeping up with the Joneses? most people will buy that just to say they have something better than their friends.
@@redjet505 Hello, no i did not know this term. I have never understood this need of someone to be better at any cost. Sometimes this behavior is counterproductive and ridiculous. It depends on how professional there is in the field and work and respect should be earned there. Then one understands that someone wants the best. But these people don't need to show off. But i think that is about age, everyone grow up and change priorities in time :-) I hesitated so long time that take Maxx V2 or E-revo 2.0, till Traxxas made Sledge which i finally bought, but i have not any needs to tell it everyone that i have the new toy. My first RC is Slash 4X4 VXL and after 5 years i wanted some new. Im happy with Traxxas spare parts availability here so we will see that choice was good or i should rather go for Kraton BLX 6S which is cheaper? Its about preferences. I am mainly a hobby chili grower. For example, in our small country, the Czech Republic, we have a very large group of chili pepper growers. We help each other, we organize festivals for charity. We prefer to give than we take. A lot of people today don't understand that we're just giving him some free peppers and we don't want anything in return, and it makes us happy when we expand the community and that's our reward. I think that RC community is super friendly and helpful also. In every hobby you can find some childish behavior, its shame that is someone older :-D Sorry for my English which is little bit broken.
He did not mention the diffs are deferent as well they are the limited slip versions, I have the BLX and have upgraded it extensively already and I love it it’s a great truck even standard it’s really good in my opinion,if I have to go back I will buy the EXB I’m not so much worried about the price because I will be bashing it and I’m not a big fan of the spektrum stuff anyway don’t get me wrong spektrum isn’t bad just my personal opinion point is deferent people have deferent needs and deferent budgets buy what you need 🏁👍🏻
