This is sooooo good to witness - I'm installing the same system (hopefully tomorrow). I'm sure you're aware, temps over 180 degrees is excessive heat and permanently causes magnets to lose their strength - get that fan on your motor :)
@@DoRC I agree they can operate at higher Temps, however, they loose their properties when cooled (permanent damage). Tube neodymium magnets are know for high Temps, but I don't believe those are in hobby grade motors.
@@MacSide01 a standard neodymium magnets Curie temo (temp at which magnetism is permanently lost is around 600f however they can begin to lose magnetism is kept at temps over 180f for extended periods.
This is a great video Jay. accurate advice on knowing ur surface. Thanks for the shout out and motivation. I'm going to climb out oh my bunker and go back into the lab and will see you on the pavement hopefully 9 DAYS bro
Man that's fast n I thought my bandit at 74 mph was fast all I did was put the bigger pinion gear it came with n new 3s with go pro GPS... Heck ya great video 🏎️💨💨💨💨💨💨
I have the same setup as u do G At first I had the momba monster 8s esc but wanted telemetry through my dx5pro but I stayed with a castle motor 1717 cuz this motor that u have now would get to hot 🥵 1717 takes it like nothing 123 mph with stock ⚙️ and frima esc 160 amps 8s is killing it I honestly think momba and frima are both big dogs they put out very nice except momba keeps cooler just a bit less but grate stuff super fast 💨 car love it keep pushing it brother
Hey JayTee, always like when you run his car. What receiver are running in this vehicle ? Also, how important is the steering servo for a car like this, can you go with a cheaper one ? Thanks
Question bro. I have the limitless and currently running the 1650kv motor Max6 esc 34/spur 30 pinion? Due to lack of runway I've only gotten runs of 80mph. HW motor never gets hot. What to speed should i expect with this setup?
Temps getting that hot in so short of a time, you need some air holes for outside air to get inside. Not big not many. Like 3 + 2. 3 bottom 2 above the 3. Like 3mm to 5mm each. Shouldn't affect the aerodynamics & greatly help reduce your heat.
