@@earlmoorhead5555 I'm saving up for the ver.2 and hope to make the same setup you have. But it's going to be a minute for everything to come to place coz what you have in it is a lot of money.
Informative as always sir. Thank you, I didn’t know any of the things you discussed as far as setting up the remote, duel rate, the whole reverse thing, cut off fail safes, thank you. I would like to know more about duel rate if you ever get a chance.
Wow nice, I think my wife would take away my bank account If I spent $1500 on an RC I don’t mind I think she would freak out gotta keep the woman happy keep up the good work my friend always love watching you.…
Earl I hope you don't mind me giving a nickname bumblebee because it remind me her Bumblebee and I think it's one of the cool field that you ever did and I hope that you keep that one for yourself man cuz I promise you you did a lot of work into her and I thank you for all the things that you do for the Hobby and things that you show on your Channel it doesn't matter the time wrong if it's on your channel thank you
Some really interesting stuff about the Fail Safe, Earl. I didn't think it was possible for an electric R/C to have a runaway, I thought it was only for nitro or gas. I stumbled across another RU-vidr's video the other day and their Maxx ran away on them but it wasn't from being out-of-range, I think they were having receiver issues.
Wow, that's crazy! I may have to look into this with my Maxx. I use the Futaba T3PV radio and receiver...I'll have to see if there's a Fail Safe on it, even though I don't do any speed run stuff.
Another good video Earl, I set my fail safe to zero car will stop eventually if I loose signal, could also turn on the drag brake in the esc and then when its at zero it would stop quicker, might be worth testing to see.
At zero it will remember the last trigger input it saw before it lost signal so if at full triggah it will run full out till it’s turned off or get a signal 👍⚠️
Nice video bud that thing is gonna fly and hopefully stay on rubber side down also you can turn down the steering speed if you want it to go a little slower then what you have
That thing looks awesome. What a sweet car! I prefer easy braking too. I always feel I'm shredding gearing when I set braking up high or even mid. It seems like if you're not racing on a track, there's almost no reason to have hard braking.
@@earlmoorhead5555 I had the same problem always wiping out slowing down from too much brake. Great channel BTW sir. I learn alot from hobbiests like yourself. I appreciate the information you give us.
Earl , could you please do a video or send me a link on how to "re-glue" those "Power Hobbies 1/8 Gripper" wheels. I have some that I need to re-glue but have no idea how it's done. Kind Regards Eddie Epic
Hello, i Think the speed cars er epic. I am new to the hobby. I have a outcast 6s right now and enjoy it almost everty Day. Here where i live we have i Dam to an Island. Its 10 km Long, almost a straight Line. It must be the perfect Road for speed runs. Maby in the future i get a car like your. 🇩🇰
@@earlmoorhead5555 not a fan of SMC? I’ve had only the best experiences with them as a company and their lipos are easily some of the best in the world
Hey earl I had a 4070cm 2400 kv tp had no problems with it. I took it out and put pretty much the same motor in but sensored and 2350 kv instead of 2400 but it’ll go couple feet and that’s it. I don’t understand how I had pretty much the same motor just not sensored and higher kv and I didn’t have a problem at all abd my shop don’t have the answer
@@earlmoorhead5555 you must didn’t see but I wrote it’s a t.p motor and xlx2 esc I pretty much just put the same motor in just sensored version and it’s not running with the sensored version
@@press4258 you have to be careful of the TP motors and the xlx2 as castle has a disclaimer on there web page explaining the winding of the motors can cause the esc to catch fire if you continue to run the wrong windings they have updated the software so maybe it’s shutting down to save this issue 🤔
You meet some of the nicest people at Vista Del Sol....😝🤪😜 I thought speed runs were simple... Thanks for ruining it for me Earl... So much technical stuff to make it right.
You paid $1,500 for that? Wow I'm an RC hobbyist drifting and rock crawling. And mine cost a fraction I mean like 1/10 of that amount. I can do four times what yours does. And I bet I bashed mine a lot harder than you do. That's steering looks kind of sluggish.
Amazing video like always but this is a great one drop a lot of gems in this video and bring up a lot of great points. Earl thanks again for these videos I really appreciate them and I’m sure others do too!!!!!🦾🦾🦾🦾
