Bought mine from Arrma. Has revised part. Watching this now because the left driveshaft popped off. I'm guessing the set screw came loose. Not looking forward to tearing the rear diff apart to fix this but I'm sure I'll learn something from it so that's a plus. First RC. First week of having it. Thanks for your videos. The maintenance stuff really helps us new guys. The nearest hobby shop is 100 miles away so I'm kind of on my own. Glad to see you have some videos on this stuff.
I think only Horizon/Arrma would do this. When the diff went on the 6s EXB Kraton they sent it out to me without any issues. Did Traxxas do that with the Xmaxx’s servo? No way. They hid behind their 30 day bs warranty. I got the Xmaxx last February and no offense I didn’t really run it until late March because of the snow and cold here in the East. After only 6-7 runs on a large soccer and football field (not one jump) the servo failed. I had to upgrade to the X. Absolutely ridiculous by Traxxas. I can’t wait, next week we can get the 4s Outcast and Kraton we’re super excited. We’ve already bought four 4s Spektrum batteries. Which we even got ghe 15% rebate coming. Horizon and Arrma really do make us feel they appreciate our business. Just more great information from your Channel. Thank you!
That new outcast 4S is slick with the blue and wood panel body. Thanks for the look into this truck. I think I’m going to order one. It was this or a V5 Kraton 6S. I know two different models but I can’t honestly decide at this moment lol. What you think?
It's all about driving style if you want backflips get the outcast but you tend to build a collection if you really enjoy them so if it's your first and want a great all-rounder get the kraton so many factors in it hope this helps abit 👍
I would still feel more comfortable if the pin would have a threaded top to just keep it from sliding out if for some reason the "fix" doesnt stop the debris lifting the band

I have one of these on order with my local.... I'm checking that part in the store before I leave. Now it's not due here in the UK, I'm told until the end of August. So I'll keep you posted on that one 🤞.... Seems to be sorted , and we'll spotted on your behalf.

Definitely better with the lighting...and I'm interested to see if this chassis and any parts are compatible with the 4s v1 kraton chassis...I do believe that suspension parts and bulkheads will fit...and the chassis looks really close to the same size as the lwb 4s kraton and big rock chassis ..I'm interested because I'm building my own from scratch just for fun ...I like building them
hey guy. Can't find your video on 4s outcast when you talked about the hot motor issue. both the kraton an outcast 4s I bought last wknd. motor gets blazing hot in no time at all. Thankyou for your time and any advice
Only thing I can say is I have been told with my personal RC is that it is a pre-production model and that the ones that are for sale will have the correction but I do not work for armor or Horizon I can only speak with words that are told to me 👍
I'm not a fan of the design of the inner parts of the driveshafts, these v2 4s cars are such great trucks overall but those stupid little c-bands break or fly off every single time I drive my kraton and outcast, and those pins(that are held in with the c-bands) aren't the greatest quality so I've snapped two already.
@82TRICKS I just buy a bunch of spares and take them with me every time I drive it, it's hit or miss. Sometimes I get one that only lasts 1 or 2 bashes, sometimes I get one that lasts a lot longer. Not the greatest quality part tbh

I have a 4s v2... I never had these from purchase I only realised today as I broke my damn shock tower... theyres 4 on the front correct? I have them in the Hubs but not on the diff end.. can anyone tell me I'm correct in they should habe been theyre
The answer to this crappy c clamp design is run a button head m3 threw bolt threw the CVD with a flat nut with a generous amount of lock tight. No more pin .No more crappy c clamp.
I lost a crappy c clamp Everytime I went out with the truck. I break a m3 screw from time to time it is what it is. The reality of it is Arma putting a little more plastic on the CVD is not a cure for a horrible design you catch a stone a piece of wood or any debris for that matter between the a arm and CVD it's still going to knock that c clamp off.
