I bought one of these for my 6 year old son. It’s fantastic. He runs it on 2S and I run it on 3S. Only 2 complaints are the tires are horrible. Destroyed in 4 runs. Also the inside gets very dirty even on street use

The sand and water could have caused issues. I don't run in either, myself since I don't want to tear it down and clean absolutely everything. I get stones in my steering as well.

Water killed my ESC- what supposed be waterproof, fortunately the warranty replaced it. and sand is not good for this car either.

Big Al Yakima,Wa. I have a v1 senton,same motor 3200kv. Added a 120 Blx esc, 20t pinion. I named it old school like Al. Big rock tires and wheels. Throttle control FUN

Mesh chassis cover is needed for these..The tires kick up debris right into the chassis

@@TheRcKiwis Right on..Yea get the mesh cover and calibrate the ESC/Transmitter Throttle End Point Adjustment and it will run better..Great video guys!

What’s this mesh cover you all are talking about for the truck? Definitely get a ton of small rocks jammed up between the motor and drive shaft. Enough to stop the truck from moving. Is there a link for it or what you guys doing?

I went into the esc settings and turned the punch and the brakes all the way up in mine. It woke it up quite a bit.

Hey definitely set throttle end points. That will help with the lag. Turn on remote, turn on esc will holding set button for a few seconds and it will enter program mode. Press set button once while its in neutral, then press full throttle and press set button again, then pull full reverse and hit set button one more time. You will then hear 3 beeps letting you know its set. Also check out duratrax sct wheels. They have a bunch in 14mm and are great!

The Senton has a factory set 60% punch setting. It throttles itself slow to full. Change it to 100% punch and you will eliminate all throttle lag.

Have a Arrma Senton and so far have had rocks cut two drive shafts' in two. It is a rock gathering monster. Have a aluminum one coming in a few days. What can I do ?

I blew a tire on mine yesterday. Lol! And a chassis cover is a must for the senton. Also the lagging is in part because it's geared to high. IMHO. I put a 17t pinion gear on mine and it's way better for the bashing you where doing. It comes with a 20t pinion gear so you can hit that advertised 50 mph.

Where is a good place to order the pinion gears? And what material should they be made out of to mesh with the stock spur gear? I want to purchase a 16 or 17t but am still waiting for my Senton to get here so idk what the spur gear is made out of. Thanks in advance. ❤💛💛

Looked like a lot of fun .... until the tyre! Sand gets in everything and that's what the upgrade market is for I suppose. I wonder how it will run in a more controlled environment. Perhaps more of a track truck? Keep up the good work. Loved the vid' as usual :)

Nice rip! I’ve run my RCs in water before and it does cause issues, but I blow them off and then spray metal moving parts and bearings with silicone oil. That sand on the other hand is an RC bearing killer...I definitely avoid the sand even though it is a blast to drive in🤪.

Another awesome video arrma's seem to find and collect pebbles if you drove it in the lounge room it could find one and getting stuck in the steering linkages and between the motor and drive shaft that red guard seems to help hold them in there .....love the channel

Water is the enemy of RC Tires and really everything else in them. I know it's cool to zip across but it seems this Truck Chassis is slightly too narrow for its own good. A dust bag might do wonders for it. I still can't wait for mine to arrive! Question, are you guys based out of Hong Kong? Just wondering, thanks.

Need to strap those cables down with battery strap my friends!☺️ Saves ur lid from rubs and keeps the cables from pulling on the ESC during jumps and bashing!! Will save ya in the long run!! I do this on my cars!!

We’ve had a Senton 3S for a few months and have experienced the same issues... but even more so. The ESC was bad from the start (Arrma sent a replacement). The rocks in the steering was solved by a net over the chassis and a cover over the hole under the chassis. But, we’ve had 2 tires explode even without driving in water. Hopefully that’s not a sign of a bad batch of tires from the factory!

I'm new to this but I'm learning. I just got the new senton s3 and it seems to be over heating or somthing.. I love forward and reverse but can turn the wheels... please help a newbie out hahah

Hey btw if you want to fit a standard 12mm short course truck tire you need to buy they duratrax 12mm hexs or something 12mm hexs because the stock hexs are 14mm

If you order the traxxas TRA5353X 17mm hun set it will go on the senton and you can run a slightly bigger tire with 17mm hubs and more tire options

Told ya, those mud guards are useless, get a mesh cover to keep it clean They must have changed those bearings from the last version, i have the version 2 and i have been with it in water plenty of times and they are still smooth The only complaint i have are the shocks always leaking, did yours hold up?

Best bet is buy ones with the xt60 and solder on the ec5 is what I'm seeing people do. Saves about 40 bucks.

To be fair you did no mistake, if there is water an RC must get into the puddle. The fault is honestly Arrma's, they really use poor quality bearings, they cease so easily. Not to be a fan boy but Traxxas does a better job there. Not the best bearing in the world, but still they last a while before ceasing, they don't die the first / second time out or the first time they touch water. Enjoy the wet man, running your RC in the water is fun. I especially like running on wet asphalt either with a road car or with those little cute things like the UDIRC

Yes, it is... however I wouldn't recommend purposely going into water with it, as it will ruin the bearings... As soon as we got home, I cleaned it up, use air compressor, dried it completely and used WD40, yet still the next morning about 5 or 6 bearings needed replacing..

@@TheRcKiwis don't use wd40, they ceased up because of that, just use some regular citrus cleaner and dry them and then apply some, bones speed cream, and they will be good to go
