@@elsaforsell6575Accurate timeline too. Roy would pose the most challenge and with Oliver being as experienced as he is it would honestly probably take a minute.
@@user-xf2rm7pp4z yeah that was very funny and especially when Oliver said what would you like to do now Mr Wilson and the way he smiled that was so funny, especially when he looked at Roy
gil yahalom agreed... I was about to say the same thing! I got chills when Arrow asked him what he wanted to do. With Roy being a wildcard, he knew he couldn't beat all three of them in close quarters.
I love how when Slade noticed Roy's strength he put slight pressure in his handshake and started to bend Roy's hand the other way when Sara came in just to show dominance.
I love that this scene implies that while Oliver, Sara, Roy, and Slade are all just staring daggers at each other in dead silence for 30 seconds, Moira and Thea are just like, "yeah, nothing weird going on here."
@@jonathanhill3668 that is true. She knew Oliver was the Arrow since around the night of the Undertaking she said, so she probably figured it was something from the island he never told her about.
@@seanskehan6188 The reason why I would disagree is because later on in the episode, she calls Oliver out for acting on bad behavior, and she doesn’t even realize Slade and Oliver were on the island until Seeing Red. She just thinks that Oliver is being rude to a guest in response to her.
The Gorgon Because his plan wasn’t to attack and kill them all right then and there even though he could have his plan was to come off as a nice and good person and then later on slowly make Oliver suffer
GA yh, I agree with loot dood.....slade could’ve easily solo’d everyone In that building and still have enough energy and strength to bang issabel rocheve.... his plan WAS to slowly ruin Oliver’s life and it worked...the only time Oliver has ever felt destroyed like he did was in season 5...
A tiny detail I never noticed before was Roy taking a breath after Slade turned away from him, trying to keep himself calm and not let the Mirakuru affect him. Such a nice touch.
@@aliciaborth3016 I always felt like its more like when you have to look tough and all, but in fact you are actually scared shitless, not that Roy's a coward or anything, but its a sigh of relief that the attention and tension is turned away from him so hes not stressing as much, because no matter how many fights and brawls hes been in, this is a moment when he cant show any weakness, at all, but you are aware of the possible danger everyones in..hes still a teenager and a newbie at this after all...
Don't get me wrong, Ra's Al Ghul was a very menacing villain, and Prometheus is very smart and has shown to be very dangerous, but no villain has ever made me as legitimately scared as Slade has. I felt they failed to make Darhk look like a scary threat, we knew he was dangerous but I didn't really feel scared of him. Slade is just so menacing and calculated that you feel scared for the characters who are going to try fight him.
Looking back at this scene.. You can see Slade’s hand turning Roy’s hand over during the handshake.. showing off his strength.. Roy showing relief right after
Autobot Productions I think he did great too but I don't think his version of the character will be the only great one is all. I think people said that about Jack Nicholson's joker, then Heath came along and I'm sure it will be the same with him.
Well she probably assumed the tension was due to her and Oliver having a little disagreement, keeping theas true father from her knowledge, this likely made moira think Oliver is just being weird cause of her
Ok, if i see 3 of the people I know just looking and staring at eachother angrily and it seems like a entire war is about to break about, I would seperate them immediately.
@@HABO2210 I think at this point Moira was semi in denial that Oliver was the Arrow. She said "I've known... since last year I suppose." I suppose. She didn't seem to fully believe it until Oliver said he knew what it meant to make sacrifices to protect Starling City. She had all the evidence she needed but I just don't think she could make herself believe. That plus her having an argument with Oliver at the time caused her to believe it wasn't because he was the Arrow. Still though, that was one hell of a mistake from her. She still should have picked up on something. She'd been around Merlyn enough to pick up on shit like that.
I love this scene so much, one of the best scenes in any comic book show! The way Ollie, Slade, Sara, and Roy all know who each other are in this scene and act like they don’t is perfect! Slade playing them like a fiddle in this scene and it’s amazing! It’s scenes like this why Manu Bennett is the best actor to play Deathstroke and will always be for me! He’s so threatening and every scene he’s in is so menacing and you can feel his presence!
@Skrrt oh shoot yes! Although I only started watching arrow this month after fin super girl and flash so there still lot for me! I hope Stephen amell become better job where he near his kids and wife
I love this scene.. EPIC Ollie and Co have that look like they are ready. Especially Ollie then takes that deep breath n says "so, what would you like to do now.. Mr. Wilson". Then stares at Sarah (she's ready) and looks back at Roy (he is ready to).
I got to say, Slade Wilson is just something else, I mean Malcolm Merlyn, Ra's Al Ghul, Damien Darkh, Adrian Chase and Ricardo Diaz are very evil but Slade Wilson is just another level scary, dude I remember almost screaming when he appears in Oliver's house and just screaming Oh My God, somebody gonna die tonight. Slade (or should I say Mr. Wilson) is someone that even Oliver and Sara are scared of.
aditya sinha Nah he wasn’t flustered. Plus pretty sure Sara being alive was already big news. Remember that Slade knew about Thea and Malcolm. So some common news about one of his enemies being alive. He was probably fully aware. I feel like the surprise was more about the fact that she was still close with Oliver and obviously working with him. For all he knew she and him had a massive rift and hated each other. To him there was another person he could manipulate Oliver with. And it was also someone that he deeply hated. But the fact that she was alive. There is no way he didn’t know before hand.
Manu Benett has the perfect skin tone. So perfectly tanned and without any imperfections. Also very unlikely to get acne. True masterrace wherever he is from 💪🏼
True, but it was a glancing blow, and Roy wasn't in a full-on blood rage at the time. If Slade had been threatening Thea, I think it may well have gone differently.
Slade wouldnt let him punch him, he is far too skilled to get beat by Roy. Just imagine the massacre it would be if comic book version slade fought Roy or oliver
This episode shows of just one of the many reasons why i love this take on Deathstroke. He drives my dream car the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700/4. Hence why Deathstroke is my all time favorit DC villain.
+makeal Right? That is the face of surprise, anger, and joy all at once. Bennett is the perfect Slade Wilson. If the character ever appears again in the DCCU, Bennett is a must to play him.
Who else remembers getting hyped when he asked, "So...what would you like do now...Mr. Wilson?" I remember feeling so ominous about the direction the scene was going in until they showed up and he said that. That's the kind of writing that made this show so great back in the day. Of course, the first time they all got a chance to take a shot at him he wiped the floor with them, but that's beside the point... 😅
2:05 “So. What would you like to do now? Mr. Wilson. *looks At Oliver, looks at Sara, looks at mirakuru rage filled Roy “We’ll id hate to break up the party” While it would have exposed Oliver to Thea (since Moira stated later on that she knew Oliver was the Arrow since the undertaking), but at the same time I think if he attacked, not only would John come running in since he was outside this whole time with his sniper, but even without, 3 against 1, with 1 of the 3 on a Mirakuru rage (you can see how pissed off Roy is and how bad he wants to break Slade’s face 😂) Slate would have gotten his ass kicked even if he had the mirakuru as well
Slade would've decimated them all What are you on about clearly ain't been paying attention if you honestly believe Slade would lose these 3 would have to be carried out on Strechers if they fought 🤦♂️
Mom is mad about his lack of manners. I don't understand how she could be so oblivious to the tension with Roy and Sara. Not to mention Ollie's shock etc upon seeing Slade, like that isn't the I've seen you before look. Nothing like a silent still throwdown in the foyer.
This was the best season of arrow I also think the whole days of future past thing with his daughter was really good but season 5 with Prometheus is the second best that whole thing with Diaz was dragged out to its max
@@luisz222 And to think we actually almost got that with Ben Affleck's Batman movie. But of course people decided to presure him so much and beacuse of that causing him to quite. btw one question: wish color is Slade's Aventador in this scene. Like is it Satin or Metalic?? Can't tell beacuse of the rain.
Can someone please explain how Slade is able to do all this if he was supposed to be Australian secret service lol. The Australian government should be out for his head... They would never just let him go free and do whatever he wants
Something I love about this scene after Slade mentions that Oliver must be wondering why Diggle hasn't taken the head shot and says " Don't worry he's alive. For now." Ollie start to say "What are you talking about?" As if he were completely innocent and they had not spent time threatening each other and there were certainly not a sniper laying in wait; but Slade gets this completely deadpanned look on his face and Oliver changes his sentence.
Slade is one of my favorite characters and one of the best fighters in the arrowverse it’s between vandal savage and Oliver queen but slade is definitely in the top 3 with them
