This model was a Christmas present from my son and wife. The canopy was black, so I made my own canopy using a combination of LW-PLA and a custom Vacuum Formed Canopy with the addition of a pilot etc. Did this to make is as similar as possible in looks to my e-flite 90mm Viper.
The CG as per the manual appears to be spot on and pretty much consistent with the e-flite 90mm Viper. Running a 3S 1300mah battery it seems to fly fine, but I have a feeling 4S could be better. Will give that a go in a later flight.
All in All a fantastic little EDF that flies way better than expected. I managed to squeeze in 8 flights on this day.. This model was purchased from Metro Hobbies in Melbourne but if you simple search for Arrows Hobby 50mm Viper I'm sure you'll find it

Thanks buddy! It's such a blast to fly. I'll be doing a ton of packs on it on Friday if the weather is good. Formation on these would be perfect for practice for the 90mm Versions

That was a great maiden flight. Artur did a perfect launch and Thomas did a great job on the video. Canopy looks incredible. 👍👍👍

Thanks Mark, I'm absolutely over the moon about this aircraft. Totally exceeded my expectations! I flew it 8 times that day 😂

Nice flight!! I added rudder to mine and I use a 4s 2200 all the way back. It’s super fun!! Doesn’t have the stall characteristics of the 90mm Viper. For storage purposes my friend David Snyder came up with the idea of using rare earth magnets to hold in the elevator and the winglets. I’ve had over 50 flights with it with no issues.

Thanks for the info Paul! I've been debating adding a rudder. My son just purchased one and maybe we can try that on his. Do you have a video of the rudder install or pics on your channel? I'll check it out now

Any leads to where we can get the canopy from? Or how you made it?

It requires a Plug of the canopy to be made and then vacuum form the Canopy over it. I'll be doing a followup video on the whole process soon

@@longcrawler no not yet, but new one I'm working on should reduce costs in a massive way and look even better (Better 99% of 90mm EDFs). If you don't mind me asking, what do you think would be reasonable for the Canopy plus all the internals like Instrument Cluster, pilot etc as a kit (Some assembly etc)
