I'm just going to compliment the Great Zoomer Amy. Especially with standing behind you that was an outstanding capture. It is a nice hat indeed, but it did mess with the focus of the camera. Amy was able to adjust and did a great job.
Wise man indeed, even if it was 100% jacked you still compliment The Amy!! And that was with a phone. She was pinch zooming! Haha. Saving my pennies for a Sony AX-53, and gonna try to get her to stand a bit ahead of me next time!
Awesome Air Marshall! I think she wants this one. Big tiers can land anywhere but on pavement she will bounce. But believe me that was a great landing compared to mine.😁😆🤣😂👍🏻
I'm envious of your airfield! I've already got my Bigfoot ordered, it looks similar to the 152 I learned to fly in, of course the 152 was a tri gear set up. On a Cessna 150 and 152 flaps are almost never used on take off, the exceptions being a soft field take off or a short field take off, in both those cases 10 degrees of flap are used. According to the Cessna manual, flap settings over 10 degrees don't generate any more lift but add a lot of drag, which is why flap settings over 10 degrees are reserved for landing. Those hard tires would probably do better on grass for take off or landing, if that is available to you.
Our field is very nice, very fortunate to be here for sure. We have a grass strip just to the side of the asphalt strip that gets mowed regularly. It actually does much better with grass takeoffs and landings than it does from the pavement. It doesn’t NEED flaps at all really. This thing flies super sweet! I think you’re gonna enjoy it a lot!
Mike Kennedy this is a great one! Not too big, not too small. Flies great with everything set up by the book. All control surfaces were at 100% high rates with 20% expo. Nice construction too, keep an eye out for Arrows RC, great models!
I watched your unboxing & build video that's a proper tutorial Dave I'm not interested in this plane I just subscribed to your channel I enjoy your content, great maiden 😉👍🛩
Richard Oneill yep, EC3 batteries can jam into XT60 ESC’s, and EC5 batteries can fit into XT90’s. I didn’t bring my adapters that day. Normally I use adapters, but it works in a pinch. 👍
Dave those tires have the look but they suck. Get yourself some TUNDRA tires from hobby King. They're soft and about the same size you'll thank me for the tip. After ALL there's only one thing I like to see bouncing ( . )( . ) And it's not my airplane's. And dude I didn't hear a shout out to DAVE'S RC where everyone has a chance of winning a plane once a month. 👍🏼👍🏼😎✌🏼✌🏼
Shout out to Dave’s RC with a link to his channel is in the description! Yeah, these tires are hot garbage... It lands much better in the grass. Did a couple more flights after this and did all the takeoffs/landings from grass and it did great. I’ll definitely be getting some better tires, and maybe landing it with a little bit shallower glide slope! I was kinda poundin her on in there. 😂
Here writes a very beginner, about to make the big jump from F949S 3-channel Cessna to big foot. After a year of having the Bigfoot hanging beautifully, it’s time has come. I’ve got a Spektrum DX8 and AR8000 which I am now quite familiarized with. My dummy-beginner question: how well does Bigfoot takes crashes? And how important would it be to install a stabilizator. I do have good feeling now with correcting problems but still want to be less stressed by knowing that after a “hard landing” it will not be destroyed. Any experiences? 🙏 thanks!!
Hi Dave, Great video, thanks. I’ve just got a Bigfoot but without the radio so I set it up on my RadioMasterTX16S with a RadioMaster R86C receiver. I connected to it with the SBUS lead but cannot get flaps. I setup the flaps on the TX Channel 5 to a 3-way switch. I noticed that the flaps & ailerons are wired in to the same plug which is in the aileron slot on the vector unit. Don’t understand that. Any suggestions where the problem may be? Nigel (English in France)
Hello Difficult to understand your English for French. Can you give the settings you have determined on this plane and if possible your general impression for the first flight thank you Merci pour votre vidéo et ce vol exceptionnel
Tanner Millemann this plane only comes as a plug and play model. There is no receiver included. The receiver I am running is a Spektrum AR6600T with no gyro. So on this one, no beginner mode. Depending on the receiver you select, you can certainly have self leveling though. The AR636, AR637T, Lemon Rx, Admiral RX600SP all have self leveling features.
