"Stretch Armstrong is made of latex rubber filled with gelled corn syrup, which allows it to retain shape for a short time before shrinking to its original shape." For those out there wondering what the "glue/goo" is. What this also means is the corn syrup is absorbing the force of the arrows hence why they never really went that deep or through the first one or two. Think like ballistic gel same idea.
I HIGHLY recommend that you upload the ak-47 vid where you got injured for two reasons... 1) It’s to verify that Guns are NOT a toy. We see kids nowadays being pretty reckless with firearms not knowing how dangerous they are. 😓😥 2) it will prove that you take precautions when shooting videos most of the time. It will also prove that things can go wrong at times even if you Do take precautions...that even professionals can also get injured. But keep up the informational vids guys! You guys are the bomb! 👍😉
I agree completely I mean I grew up hunting and fishing and trust I saw at the age of 12 what can happen when guns and or crossbows are in place like 12 years old my friend ended up pulling a Daryl and ended up with a bolt in his side and luckily I'm always prepared in case or emergencies cuz we where about 3 or 4 mile in and well long story short he lived but yes he should cuz it is a great idea
Some of my friends told me the glue inside of them taste kind of like Maple syrup and powdered sugar Edit: I said this comment before it hit him in the nuts
Chase Williams 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I can clearly see why you guys felt so uncomfortable with the setup but I haven't laughed this hard in a very long time. The best I've ever seen. I've been following you for a long time but apparently I missed this nugget. Respect.
Omg man I'm so glad you are ok! But yes I would like to see the video! Don't be getting hurt man, you won't be able to put out these awesome videos I enjoy so much! Seriously, I'm glad your ok!
if you have ever watched a arrow fire in slow motion you know it moves around and wiggles so with the strength of the cross bow and the toughness of the Armstrong toy and the range the arrow wiggled so fast it snapped on impacted because it bent
Bruh the first one not only got hit in the children producer 3000 but got an arrow straight past his brain and the guy still had a straight face. Respect
They used to be a lot bigger and as they aged, they cracked and leaked. I had one that leaked all over the floor of my closet. I was left with a permanent puddle of goo that I could never clean off. You do NOT want one.
My guess is that what's happening is when the arrow hits whatever that stuff in the stretch armstrong is, it either causes its viscosity and density to rise rapidly to some very high value, which will increase the drag on the projectile enormously, or the energy from the arrow causes the stuff to undergo some very energy intensive phase change. Materials that make good archery targets are ones that are compressible, that melt a little pit when struck, and that close rapidly around the penetration channel so that the material grips the shaft as it passes through, causing the arrow to decelerate quickly.
Stretch Armstrong is made of latex rubber filled with gelled corn syrup, which allows it to retain shape for a short time before shrinking to its original shape.
The force behind the arrow is being pushed back onto it upon impact. So the same amount of force hitting the stretch armstrong is also going into the arrow causing it to snap.
