They, team and fans, were treating the trip to Anfield like going to a tourist attraction. “I’m looking forward to hearing the fane singing their anthem” etc etc. they found out it wasn’t a walk in the park. Only Coutinho seemed to remember Anfield was like having a twelfth man in the team.

I think a lot of people say they weren’t the best because of how good Arsenal were under him before and they still expected that. Even towards the end of Arsene’s time they were better then than they were nowadays, he took that arsenal team as far as he could take them

Arsene Wenger is the most underated manager in the World. He revolutionised Arsenal after Rioch & Graham. Changed dietary habbits and everyone has followed suit, built a training facility and a ground to suit. ALL that has played under him would die for him...look at Arteta now...his passion & love for this club. Btw I'm a Liverpool fan & my whole family are gooners ❤

There are millions of Arsenal fans. Can' t expect everyone to think the same way. In one game, two groups of Arsenal fans was fighting each other on Away stadium. One another, they rented airplanes with one carrying a banner of "Arsene Out", the other saying "In Arsene We Trust".
Arsenal fans worship Wenger. It is why there is a statue of him outside the stadium. What you are referring to is the final days of his tenure where he had lost some of his magic. But we look at the totality of his career. Wenger turned Arsenal into a modern day super club, for that we will be forever grateful.
We think he's last days weren't the best but he achieved with them more than any other manager! Problem was, he ran it as a business and saved money for the company and considered the value of a purchase or wage (as it should be run) but the game changed and now it doesn't matter if losses are made, indeed owners are expected to bankrole billions without hesitation. That's not what he signed up to and Roman Oligarch changed it all when he bought Romanov or Chelski as they are better known.

I watched the first leg from near the back of the top tier and we should have scored multiple goals in the first leg. Lost 3-0 and then knew what had to be done 2nd leg. The tie shouldn’t have been as close as it was
