one of the better ak74s that were imported into the US. it wasn't a real military rifle, but still a Russian 5.45 carbine noneless Thank you for watching! Please check out my Amazon store www.amazon.com...
Holy crap, I never realized the Izhmash quality control was shoddy for Russian civilians. I pretty sure the then rebranded Kalashnikov Concern, and more so the later state owned conglomerate Kalashnikov Group got better with quality. It would sound about right for the QC to be spotty before Putin heavily invested in the small arms race and the Russian Federation owing part of Kalashnikov, because Izhmash post-Soviet fall was a small factory with bad work conditions. The modern Kalashnikov Group is a drastic difference from the 90's Izhmash, or am I mistaken? Nice SGL btw. I hope you shoot it a little at least. I shoot my SGL31-94, granted I bought it lightly used, but I baby it now due to the sanctions.
There were people on that side of the pond specifically looking for export models because they actually went through QC. I heard stories of rifles failing caliber measurements in the store, brand new. I still did not shoot this one, more my Bulgarian 105, and have been muling the thought of PSA one, if they started amko delivery
@@PracticalWeapons i have all russian wood on mine. With russian bakelite grip. Still have original furniture just like the look better with ak74 wood handguards
@@PracticalWeapons That's my only small regret with my SGL-31 68. I bought it 7 or 8 years ago locally and couldnt pass up the deal, but I bought it with minimal research and once I learned more, I felt that I would have been happier with the 94.
