My Magpul gen3 mags require a good, forceful jam into the magwell on my PSA Sabre lower receiver. Otherwise they do not lock in very well and can come out like you show. I mainly run the Lancers though and they go in a little easier. However, it's always a little harder to load a full mag when the bolt carrier group is not locked back to the rear.
I just received my FX9. BRAVO on the detailed breakdown you give in this video. All of your videos to that point. I've watched numerious videos with 200k subscribers and non of them were as thorough as yours. Cheers mate and keep up the solid work! You got my subscription.
LAP - light armor piercing just means it will go through pure polyethelene rifle plate armor and Kevlar. It will NOT go through steel or ceramic armor though. Hence ‘light armor’ piercing
Lap usually means it will penetrate old world war 2 German steel helmet. Almost anything of intermediate caliber can go through soft armor of level 3a and lower
@@PracticalWeapons no it will go through “3+” polyethelene armor rated for m193 and .308, 7.62 lead core only. Green tip still penetrates it because of its steel core. UHMWPE armor is good at stopping extra high velocity lead core rifle rounds but is not good at stopping slower rounds that have a steel core.
you are talking about just poly armor, not hybrid, right? I have not seen 3+ from that material, but any armor level 3 rated is supposed to stop M855. Note, not the new M855A1 - that requires RF2 - ie Level 3+ or higher. Of course any Level IV will stop both
@@PracticalWeapons in Israel this thing is so hard like there is not any information about airsoft is legal or not or does it have license or something I really love the airsoft but i dont know what i do
As an American born and raised in the south, I love to see this. Safe and educational reaching an audience that might be hard with my southern accent. Looking forward to the safety video. Also you should go ahead and file for a couple suppressors, I've been waiting since April but my friends have gotten approved in less than a week!
I consider myse;f a southerner as well, since my first years in US were spent in Arkansas (I went to Uni of Arkansas) and it is good to near the southern drawl in videos. I am looking into suppressors, need to find the ones I like, and this pistol is likely going to be a host for one.
I have the same light on my AA 11.5 upper. I run it on the left side of the pistol. If I’m shooting left handed I reach my right index finger under to activate the left. I usually shoot right handed though
Do not buy this ammunition. It will keyhole like crazy, some buyllets are measuring less than .223/.224 in diameter, it will NOT print a group less than 10inches at 50 yards and it will strike baffles/ end caps on a suppressor. I had this issue and gave 2000 rounds to friends who all had the same issues. For the sake of your wallets do not spend your money on New Republic 5.56 62 grain.
@@PracticalWeapons I ran it out of three different BCM barrels, two brand new 18in Noveske barrels and a cheaper 1:9 twist S&W barrel. The 1:9 did the worst. The BCMs had some keyholes and baffle strikes for the one that’s suppressed, even for being only about year old with less than 8000 rds through them. The Noveskes did the best with no key holing but wouldn’t shoot a group better than about 9” at 50yards.
@callsignblaze4388 so do I! I have been using this ammo from my short barrels and defense distances, but now I am interested in groups after your comment
I have a MSR gathering dust, so I thought I would slap it on a recently purchased Browning Contour if I could find a viable mounting solution. Problem solved, thank you Mate, Cheers!
the factor edge is sharp enough, and the spring strong enough, that one time I dang near clipped off a piece of my fingertip (I needed superglue to close up the wound) when I opened the knife halfway to do something and my thumb slipped off the thumbstud. 10/10 would buy another, it's a great inexpensive knife
I always recommend anyone that likes blades to have a first aid kit near, just in case. Also, there are now blood stopping sprays for minor lacerations, I might make a short video about in the future
The good thing is that you do not HAVE to fart around with that striker deactivation ballpoint pen nonsense in order to field strip the weapon. Without racking the slide, just push the round takedown button to the left far enough to rotate the takedown lever on the right side of the weapon down. Done.
Except you have to press the trigger. I think the button is due to either special requirement of carrying decocked or to disassemble with round in the chamber safely. Unloaded pistol does not need that
Blazer 40 grain LRN are also good to go... My LGS were selling a full brick for $250 during the holidays... I picked one up... 😎 Thanks for sharing n' God bless brother
Too flimsy. There is a lot of play in a dust cover so it will NOT hold zero very well if it's not attached properly, like this one from Fab Defence. The Midwest dust cover or TWS Dog Leg (Gen 3 in particular) is one of the best American made and commercially available railed dust covers, because they have at least 3 points of contact to hold its zero.
Igman is made in Bosnia/Herzegovia they made ammo for the military locally and internationally. The former Yugo two main ammo manufactures was Igman and PPU. I never had problem with neither of them.
The Norma Tac and New Republic perform about the same, the only thing I notice is Norma casing is visually more appealing (brass been polished to mirror finish) and head stamp is much more clearer than NP. I had shoot Norma 9mm and 5.56 and .223 rem and I can tell you it perform flawless in a semi auto. No problem with New Republic either, neither is a accuracy round so I don't expect exceptional accuracy. Even let say Norma has better accuracy it will be negligible, it not like 3 MOA vs sub MOA. I had stocked both ammo, the Norma I bought when they offered in a milspec ammo can and New Republic when the last labor day sale. $370 from Targetsport USA. Oh yeah screw them Ammo scalpers who buy and resell them for much much higher price (7.62x39 I am looking at you).
So did I, but I also have lwrc pdw stock and tubes d checked how that matches. Then found KAK industries!aies short tubes as well for just 30+ dollars. Just don't ask how many SL-M stocks I bought, on sale...
I'm somewhere on the Colorado Plateau and thankfully my range is vast expanses of BLM land in one direction and the National Forest in another... and only 15 minutes drive time for a suitable place to practice... God's country is the best range there is... I feel for the folks that have no other place to go except indoors, plus the added financial cost that's required of paying... 😢
I am in Florida and land here is expensive. But every county has a public gun range, at least one. The problem with those are short distances and safety
It's true that some of the the Colorado Plateau is in the state of Colorado, but the name Colorado Plateau denotes a geologic land mass that actually encompasses four states...which are Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona... and I'm in a constitutional carry state and it's not Colorado... 🤠👍
Yeah... I hear what you're saying about safety and public ranges... I assume a public range in Florida means free entry, but it also means a lot of people around you in which you have no clue as to their diligence in practicing safety... public ranges must be kind of scary with a bunch of people who don't know what they are doing... (everyone flagging their neighbor) 😲😖😬
Good video! I plan on making a video about why a pistol caliber carbine is a good homestead defense firearm. $100 for range time for the family is a good investment. 🤠👍🦬🦅🪶🌩
There are some benefits to PCC, when hitting some kind of limitations. One of the biggest benefits is cost, one of most negative is that very few are actually proven, and those are more expensive. I like my scorpion and extra ep-9
@PracticalWeapons I have a mound of dead predators in the burn pile at time, all thanks to my Ruger PC9 and my Extar EP9. I would say with quality ammunition, they have more than proved their worth on my farm
Depending on the part of town and what you want to get. I go to shops on hwy 98. It is the northwest Lakeland area. West Pawn, Rapture ... We have shoot straight if you want to see a high price chain store with clerks instead of gun people
