Please do some followup content with the sam5. Would love to see how some different magazines workout for you. I bought one back in October and only have about 300 rounds through it. A guy at work didn't know what he had and gave me two 30 round smoke and one 20 round smoke Bulgarian mags for free. On Monday I close on 22 acres here in Kentucky and am looking forward to getting more rounds through all my guns😃
I'm hearing the KNS piston is mandatory because the SAM5 will start to ding the crap out of the rear carrier/firing pin on the rear receiver because they are way over gassed. Let us know what yours is experiencing and if you did try the KNS adjustable piston
Great video, just ordered. My distributor only had two black ones left and 6 plum. Price is okay for a milled receiver. I run a machine shop so I understand how much machine time it takes to mill a large forging. And if you screw up, the forging is scrap. What is not cool is $29 for a saw grip. LOL.
True most AKs are over gassed but the SAM5 takes it to another level. I like my SAM5 but out of the box it was so over gassed it sent dented brass casings 30 yards across the firing line, and if I did not install the KNS piston it would have beaten the internals to death. It’s so over gassed when I installed the KNS piston I ordered the appropriate small caliber head. Even with the head fully open and letting off all the gas I could, it still sent dented brass flying into the next county. I call KNS (awesome company btw) and they were very helpful and replaced my piston head from the S to the W. They have received so many calls about the SAM5 being over gassed they suggest using the piston designed to let off gas for larger calibers. After the installation of the W head I was able to tame the over gassing issues and the rifle is now pleasant to shoot. The other issue was the horribly canted front sight block. I understand that a lot of AKs have canted sights but not a lot of AKs cost 2 grand. For that price I would have expected more.

@@wademichalski768 no problem! I’ve been running those AC Unity’s for months now in my M90, Sam5, and SLR-106 and I’ve had zero issues. Probably put 1500ish rounds total through three of those magazines and never even had a single issue
Everyone is saying that it’s to expensive that the m4 alternative for the same money is better but I have a dd, bcm, hk mr556, lwrc and I still want this thing Aks are a beautiful platform
It is quite accurate, but no not near as lite. It does have more character however, and it is infinitely more collectible. Consequently, it will only continue to rise in value, while a DD will not change much at all. I respect your opinion however and am grateful for you watching the video!

And those getting this rifle like the ak style... but in 556. I dig my dd, but still wish i had this too. (and you are right... the dd is wicked light and a good shooter... did not go wrong buying that rifle)
I'm not very impressed by my arsenal sam7sf, came with a bent inward front sight post ear protector, and it's too me a $700 gun. Nothing special, ain't worth $2k tbh
I want one bad, however for a 5.56 platform Arsenal needs to lower the damn price and increase production. $2400 can kiss my ass. BCM, Daniel Defense, Geissele, etc all make better 5.56 platforms for the same or less. There is just no way in hell an AK is worth $2400 from the factory.
The 20round clear mag that they ship with is absolute crap. I dropped mine loaded on my carpet while getting ready for the range and the feed lip snapped off.
@@Addictive_Ordnance don’t get me wrong I’m not bashing the Sam5 in anyway it’s just Arsenal price points are insane now and for what you get with the M90 it seems like a much better deal overall.
