Spot on about referees, however until everyone as fans come together, nothing is going to change. There is way too much tribalism when a decision works in favour of the benefitting team. Best example was what happened between Liverpool and Spurs, Liverpool were clearly robbed by VAR and referees - however the PL and rival fans were completely demolishing Liverpool

Wasn't a masterclass. Setting a team up defensively when you just want to not lose is the easiest tactical set up in football. Not criticising them for doing it but it doesn't deserve huge praise

I don't know if it would have made much of a difference but this game taking place immediately after the international break was unfortunate. Nearly everyone looked below par. Yes, the game at the Emirates was boring too but it wasn't so clumsy.

As an arsenal fan i am happy with this, no one has beat city at the etihad all season (correct me if im wrong) and no one has prevented city scoring at the etihad in around 50 games. We didnt exactly play with a different team to normal, just jesus over martinelli, we just changed the system to defend more. With it being just after a really badly placed international break too! I enjoy the content keep it up :) glad your feeling a bit better!

Here’s what I saw re Man C v Arsenal. A ref blowing for fouls but not handing out cards. City got frustrated because they wanted Arsenal down to 10 and had often managed this in recent years. City players were crowding the ref, waving imaginary cards. I thought that in itself was a card offence, but no cards there either. Foul play is the most subjective aspect of reffing, you can’t draw lines to prove fouls and you can’t legislate for the unfortunate fact that most fans don’t actually know the rules of the game re how fouls become cards. ‘That was a bad foul, must be at least a yellow’. NO! That’s not what the rules say! So we even get paid ex players on national tv demonstrating that they STILL don’t understand the rules of the game and prefer to play to the gallery. Football must be unique in that its pundits are as ignorant of the rules as the tv viewer.

First regarding the city - Arsenal game. Both of these teams are fairly good defensively. Arsenal set out to not do anything stupid and planned to nullify city which they did successfully. The games against the top three it is important not to lose away from home Arsenal have gotten 8 points from 12 (2 games each against Liverpool and city ) Liverpool 3 from 12 City have 3 from 12 At this stage of the season you cannot take any single game for granted. There are gonna be wild results. Sheffield utd. The team that everyone and their mum were slapping 5-0 left and right were unlucky. Unlucky to draw 3-3 with Fulham Burnley drew with Chelsea despite being a man down and a goal down since the end of the first half. It is crunch time and it is anybody’s game. 3 points separate the top three. Here is to an exciting end to the season

It just seemed to me both teams set-up to just not lose, neither looked brave to me. Brave fir me was liverpool being 2-1 up against Brighton in the 89th minute and still all out attacking the opponent.

A few things theae type games after international break is poor scheduling. This is a great result for Arsenal. Man city and the league now look at us differently. Today a draw was a favourable result and psychologically both teams were content with that. That said Arsenal future is secure. They are formidable as are city and liverpool. Funninly enough i disagree with you i dont think that game sapped energy. Just a concentrated effort but we have a very fit team now. Our bench was very deep and that getting is fitter.

Purses at three minutes to address a key word, imo Nervous Raya, super nervous, multiple mistakes, Odegaard uncharacteristically playing sloppy passes half a dozen times, even rices perfect set pieces were off. Nerves will stop us this season winning anything, we won’t cope at Munich, but that’s fine!!!! This is learning process for us

Stats: Arsenal have won every PL game in 2024 out scoring opponents 33-4. But they haven’t beat a top 12 team away from home all season and they couldn’t register a single goal from 2 shots against a City side who poor defense was now missing 75% of its starters and their starting GK. We never keep clean sheets yet we stopped the mighty Arsenal. Our attack was rubbish. But our defense came though. Palace Chelsea and Tot were all able to score 2+ at the Etihad yet Arsenal couldn’t score a single goal. Arsenals inability to beat us from 2015 at home continues…
