Learning to wave dash is the most important part of a playing a mishima especially kazuya since he is a 50/50 hard hitting truck. If you hellsweep too much people are gonna sidestep left which kazuya's weak side. Wavedashing tracks the enemy so even of they sidestep and you keep wavedashing you're gonna follow the enemy and set them up for a 50/50
So I was wondering, is wavedashing useless for other charas ? Because ngl, I never a saw a single king or hwoarang wave dash. Even tough it seems like a really strong movement tool
@@Dark-qg4kb you won't see them wavedash that much because it's not part of their gameplan or character kit to put the enemy in a guessing situation. You'd use the wavedash to close space , king is a grappler and hwoarang is a rush down character. If you're using hwoarang and you're wavedashing your enemy would expect a sky rocket so it's not in your favor to wavedash so that you don't make predictablet and king has jaguar step and he is also just king.
Which is a problem. While there ARE characters in the same archetype the fact that the characters that reside in the same archetypes as the more popular characters don’t offer anything to make them stand out or worth using anymore when others within the archetypes have better tools to facilitate a winning culture

They nerfed her backdash, which was her key tool in t7; she could do a move, and as long as she was -8, she could avoid being punished. They removed a bunch of evasive moves from her mantis stance and combo extenders from her scarecrow stance. They also nerfed her damage. She's still decent but not as good as her t7 counterpart.
As a Zafina main I can assure you she has been nerfed into the ground. Most people don't seem to realize that what made her s-tier in 7 was her movement, that's gone, and with that gone she is not s-tier, and I would be fine with that. It's the thing everyone was screaming for them to nerf, but they went further than that. She's had moves completely removed, her best poke put into a stance, damaged reduced on all her 1+2 moves, and counter hit property taken away from a key move. Her new move, and all her claw moves now cause her damage and if you use the new move in most combos your combo will do less damage, what's the point of this move? It's a significant nerf. And sure people win with bad characters, that's nothing new.
Characters like Zafina, Eddy, Lei, etc. who have stances and elusive moves that take away half your kit are very powerful against players who don’t know specifically how to fight them. The issue is the players who do understand it can deal with these characters easily. If Sonic takes her in tournament vs real killers he’ll get bopped.
You definitely can't deal easily against Lei. Completely disagree with that, Lei is actually really strong. As a matter of fact Arslan and Atiff lost multiple times against Lei in tournaments on Pakistan, where Lei is very played.
The thing that makes Lei "strong" is honestly because he's such a huge Knowledge-Check character. And nobody care enough to learn the matchup (+200 moves?!! Hell naw) so, I guess that's why Lei do so well online and in some tournaments.

@@arjunratnadev i know, you don’t know how hyped i was for mk1, felt like a kid again, but then after 2-4 months I realized how the game is poorly made, also playing Tekken 8 made me open my eyes on how a fighting game should be deep, big movelists, more outcomes and better mechanics, i used to love music in mk but mk11 and 1 have trash music compared to the bangers in Tekken, don’t let me start on the menu and customization wich i know alot of people don’t care about but i prefer having a polished product rather than a poorly made product that only relies on gameplay

Sonic fox is a clown, I main Kazuya and sub Zafina and I thought she was overrated in tekken 7 and is arguably the worst in the game now. She is the least played character at this point and no one knows the matchup and most people don't try. She has abysmal punishment and crap damage, crap damage you literally have to spend your own life to achieve same goes for her new moves that you have to spend your own life to use for little payoff. I use a Korean stick for kazuya and if you are serious about the character Recommend it because it's snap back to neutral lever makes execution way easier. But I'm not sure kazuya really even needs wave dash in this game. They have made his barrier to entry lower than ever. Ff+2 and D1+2 is probably all you need to get through the lower ranks, although I did think learning the 3,1 crouch dash cancel is arguably more important now and is very hard for some people. Btw feng is still good....

I have never cared much for sonicfox either. In fact there was a time when I probably outright disliked him and definitely wanted him to lose. Everyone said 'he's just an injustice player, it doesn't take any skill to be good at that game'. Then he came and wow'd the NRS scene with his complete domination of both MK and Injustice. 'He's just a scrubby NRS player, if he played the real fighting game vets he would be put in his place for sure.' we said. Then he came and wow'd the anime scene with his incredible victories in DBZ fighterz. 'It's a new game, not even a big deal' we said. Then he came to my game. He came to guilty gear. "Ok, no way he can stand up to the legacy of the long time guilty gear vets. GG is the real deal, this is where it ends." We said. We were wrong. Sonicfox didn’t direct that initial tweet at anybody. He’s a FG pro player and he has the right to share his opinion. Just as the Tekken OGs have the right to challenge that opinion. I think people take what Sonicfox and these pro players say too seriously. They live in a pro player bubble, they’re friends or at least know each other enough to know that they can make a bold statement and have fun with it. Meanwhile everybody else on the internet getting offended FOR the Tekken OGs without even knowing how they actually reacted to the tweet.
My Thoughts on Zafina (Rant Warning): I had 5 True Tekken Gods in T7 one of them was low tier Gigas. Zafina is that low tier for me in this game. Her wall carry AND damage is the worst, her frames are some of the worst in the game now (-5 df1 which means you can't step jabs) with some of her key stance transitions gone, key stance strings gone, her main counter hit from mantis no longer launches if you commit to second hit, they made her punishment worse when she already had bottom 5 punishment in T7, Doesn't have any fast homing attacks and they are all locked behind stance or ff input, Removed her main approach/keepout low from neutral and locked it behind a stance you can't block in and it's STILL launch punishable. Made her safe slow powercrush -14, slowed her fastest counter hit by a whopping 2 frames. She can't backdash out of big pokes after interactions with a single backash anymore which was her main strength in T7. Her scarecrow stance is buffed due to claw stuff but it's a double edged sword, and main risk free way to apply it is through slow ff3. I could legit keep going...there's even more. And Sonic fox said that Zafina is OP in heat and because of df3,4 launch pickup at specific wall angels? Bro she does get better in heat but compared to rest of the cast it would still be bottom 5. Only thing she gets is armor on three claw moves...in stances and you don't delete 15 recoverable health everytime you use them. You can only use them twice (practically) before heat runs out and none are launchers or heat engagers. And they are -9. She doesn't get anything that lets her continue pressure in heat like most of the cast. Oh and bully for me that my 15f punish launches 10% of the time. She does get 50/50 in scarecrow in heat but again only true 50/50 if you go off a punish or ff33. Her only real buff in T8 is that ss1+2 has a very strict combo pickup on counterhit. Rest are all nerfs. She's a lot more fun now for me especially with claw moves giving her that uniqueness and she's not a bad character. Just that at least 80% of the cast is better.
There’s no f33 in scarecrow anymore, the tekken 7 f33 is now generic 33 in tekken 8. Old scr 33 is gone. It’s now mid high. Her scarecrow claw move isn’t heat engager but her mantis and trantula claw moves are heat engagers. Rest I agree.
@@Fereshtey You aren't wrong about her exclusions. Although SCR df1 doesn't heat engage her SCR 2,1 claw attack does which is guaranteed after ff3 on CH. Her SCR df1 is used as a combo extender mostly and for wall flip re-splats.

I wouldn't be surprised when Knee who faced everyone at a high level called her trash is thinking from a High level mindset. No character can win but the path to get there Even consistently is hard. We see Panda win 1 tournament that blew up the Internet but we haven't heard much from that. If he won with her again that would always be amazing. But Akuma, Geese ect are more common and won Majors more than Pandas appearance in every Tekken game. So if SonicFox can prove Zafina is capable in a tournament environment than more power to him. But I can't take Sonicfox's words with any Merritt since he likes to make bad takes and never follow through on it and has the "Trust me bro" energy.
I main this chick literally a lot of the strength comes from knowledge checks. Her punishment is awful and her damage is awful. People just freeze up in fear when they see her doing a bunch of crazy stuff and get CH. Ling does that job better by miles
My personal take on Zafina is that her toolkit is still mostly intact and she still has a strong mix up game, it's just that the entire roster got tuned up to the point where she feels much weaker in comparison. Combo damage is much lower and she has to sacrifice health. Moves were completely taken out, punishment is weaker, compared to everyone else. She not horrible, the roster is just more viable.
idk if anyone mentioned this. But MMSWE did play against AA on a stream together Kazuya vs Azucena/Reina respectively. The matches were close enough that I could argue MainMan could perform well in a major tournament. But he'd probably learn someone who is more tournament safe anyway like most pros do which is why Kazuya isn't a common pick in the pro scene
Last major tournament TMMSWE played, he placed 97th. That was 5 years ago just as the Pakistani players started showing up on the scene. I wouldn’t factor that super high ping/latencymatch against arslan too much though. The latency difference affects how these high level Tekken players perform to the point they even have tier lists separated by PC and PlayStation due to latency.

As a Zafina main at high level in t7, she really feels weaker. She's is different for sure and thats not the issue. The problem is that her changes just doenst seem to make sense. She lost many moves, including stance transition moves, her combo dmg is lower, the movement is overall better (wich makes hers less impacting) there are no true wall-less stages. And the most bugging is that her new stuff, is not necessary. Why use a a self damaging move if that move doenst give you any real advantages? Her dmg is higher without it then why have it? Her sucess is not only determined by her strengths or weaknesses but also (and this is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT) her unpopularity and weirdness. Yoshi was bad in t7, but managed to be present competetively due to his unpredictable gameplay. They are heavy stanced based characters with many mix ups, tons of knowledge checks, and weird animations and also pretty rare at high level. With that said, t8 yoshi is way stronger than his t7 counterpart, while zafina feels just weak and not just different. Even IF he has sucess with her competetively i would not be convinced that she is really that strong. Almost everybody in this game is busted, she is definitely not on par with the rest of the cast.
I’m a Kazuya main. First thing first, do not focus on EWGF, it’s great when you master it but while you are learning you will very rarely land it. Normal WGF is also something you should not focus on, it can be a great launcher on punish but you need the right distance & timing, I know the urge to always WGF is strong but only use it when you know your safe. In terms of play style play him defensively, his best launchers are DF2 on Counter hit & 1,2 or 2 while rising which is easiest after a duck. Also while not optimal D1+2 on counter hit can combo into 1+2, 1+2 for decent damage & is a pretty good low by itself. FF3 can launch but getting the spacing right is very difficult, you can get full launch punished if you mess it up. Probably best to use after a sidestep. Mix with hellsweep so they don’t always block high. Once you launch your best beginner combo is 3,1,4, DF1,DF2, Dash, 3,1,DF,3 It’s not optimal but it’s consistent, optimal requires canceling 3,1,DF which is difficult. If you don’t think you can do 3,1,4 in time or get an unexpected launch just go from DF1,DF2, it’s a pretty forgiving combo extender. For single strings B2,2,1+2 & B2,4,1+2 can catch low level players off guard but won’t work on high level. 1,1,2 & 1,2,2 are good punishers 1,2,4 is a good low damage low mix up for characters that block often especially if they have low health but don’t use too often or they will get used to it Obviously hell sweep is great for mix up but be careful as the high execution makes it risky & lag can make you miss input. DB1,2 is great for oki & punish & is the best heat engager, during heat rush use Dragon God fist, Hellsweep 1,1, grab or Heat Smash (if you want to play it safe). After Heat engager play it safe, most of Kazuya’s heat moves are risky, FF2 is a great punisher that doesn’t use heat bar but it can be hard to get timing & spacing right against high level. Finally if you’re opponent is just blocking everything then throwing out UF4,4,4,4 can take them by surprise, even High level players tend to fall for it at least once as it’s such an unexpected move & can hit unexpectedly if the first hit misses. Also DF4,4 can be an unexpected punisher, it’s low damage but pretty fast. Other than that it’s just practice, Kazuya is a very high execution character, even if you know all of his moves & when to use them you can still be shit because of slow execution. Keep it up as he is a very fun character to play even if he is kind of low tier.
I been playing Tekken for 30 years i am 43 years..I main Lei Wulong since 2nd installment of Tekken..Fast Forward to Tekken 6 i added zafina to my main with lei..Tekken 7 i main zafina with lei again..In Tekken 8 before she was announced..I was already going to main Azucena,Ling, sub jun,Asuka..Current characters i played and counting Azucena,Jun,Asuka,Jun,Claudia,Leroy,nina,Hworang,Victor,steve,ling,Zafina..Am i saying zafina is bad because they took away some of good moves?No.Am i saying she bad because they destroyed her movement?No.Am i saying she bad because they took her best low Back 1+2 and threw it in tarantula stance?No..I am saying she is bad because she has nothing good and they just took stuff away..Her damage is weak..Movement sucks..Moves removed..And her gimmick is 🫏..wtf is sonicfox talking about she is broken in heat?Her azareal move df1..The same move in all 3 stances becomes a armour parry move..Thats it no combo just knockdown and you lose health from using the move and getting hit..And i aint even comparing her to the characters i mention who are all better then her..Just from her gameplay and gameplan alone for Tekken 8 she is garbage..Her frames are 🫏They took and took and thought we will just replace it with these azareal moves.Sorry a mean azareal move..And that will make up from everything we took from her..This is the worse version of zafina in a game where other characters have insane tools..

The fact that people are taking this seriously is actually hilarious, i will say Zafina is really good in tk8 but she's not as good as she was in tk7 imo (and this coming from a Tk veteran)
The characters being slept on the most are Jack, Jun and Xiayou. I played high rank Zafinas and they are still doing the same tricks, nits and settups as her Tekken 7 counterpart, what made her stand out from the rest of the cast in 7 was her insane back dash especially in walless stages and insane range of her moves to whiff punish you after she back dashes. However in Tekken 8 Korean back dashing has been significantly nerfed along with wall less stages as the developers are opting for more aggressive gameplay. This overall hurts a key feature of Zafina's gameplan. We have yet to see what Sonic has found that's so amazing cuz I'm sure Zafina mains are no slouch when it comes to labbing either and finding disgusting stuff.
If Sonicfox gets into tekken and gets swamped and complains, can we call it the Leffen Effect? Or Sonicfox Effect? Cause this whole situation screams "Leffen type shit" lol
3:30 about 3 years ago, there was a pattern in tekken 7 that arslen of all people pointed out that he thinks the devs were without fail nerfing any character who won a major tournament. Even bear who was considered a low tier was nerfed. arslen was against this type of practice when he talked about it. We don't know for certain and it isn't necessarily what really was happening behind the scenes but that's where the idea might be coming from with this tweet here. it's still moronic to point a finger at anyone for a character getting nerfed, devs deserve the shade if it's unwarranted regardless, but not really a surprise considering who's follower it's coming from.

I can’t do electrics to save my life either. I’m playing Reina, zafina and Asuka. The last Tekken I played was Tekken 3d on the ds, so it’s impossible.
SF needs to understand that legacy skill shines in Tekken. We have Gods living Tekken for decades and even their victory is never certain. The in-game meta is not like the 2D stuff he is good at. It's a 3D game. Just the number of options one has for a single situation can now be over 10 in T8. Backdash, SideStep, SideWalk, Block, Parry, Reverse, Crush, Armor, Counter throw, Punish Throw, Rage Art, Panic Moves, ... and I'm sure I'm missing a few other options in this list. He should stick to what he knows or better be ready to grind Tekken for years which I seriously doubt he can.
I’m open to hearing SonicFox’s perspective but he’s like the boy who cried wolf. For every good take he has, he has like 10 others where he called characters broken or OP just for Twitter clout. I still remember when GGStrive released and every other day it was him talking about how a new character is broken. Like, broken means BROKEN. It’s hyperbole for clout and it’s so transparent. I recently learned how to wavedash consistently (6+ in a row easily) and electric from it and what helped me was focusing more on the timing than the input, idk if this is going to make any sense but: F (break) D,DF,F (break) F (break) D,DF,F (break) repeat, once I understood this it was actually *really* easy to do, I could barley do one, then instantly I could chain them. Also start out slow, the problem I was having was trying to rush it when it's all about timing
I’ve been spending a BUNCH of time with Zafina the last couple days, and what I’ll say is this: if you know her moves and how they function in and out of combos as well as her stance transitions, she is not only VERY STRONG but tons of fun to play as. I say that to say this: EVERY character in this game has the potential to be GREAT. Just gotta find a way.

To be fair with TMM, he's played both Knee and Arslan. When he played Arslan, there was too much lag, but he did beat Arslan. And TMM made it very competitive with Knee. So he definitely wouldn't be blown out of the water by those guys.
I’m not an online player but im picking up on it in t8 but honestly the entirety of 8’s roster doesn’t have a weak character if you’re comparing it to the standards of weak in t7 imo, I haven’t played much since im not super consistent but I loved to fuck around with Leo in 7 but I couldn’t do well with him bc he didn’t felt that great but in 8 im already decided on maining him bc of how good he feels and I say the same for everyone on this roster just from a glance.
Fighting against Zafina gets annoying because she crawls and all of her attacks from that stance look low but some process as a mid and it makes blocking very confusing.
I’d say she’s strong but she’s very difficult compared to the rest of the cast who has been buffed significantly. I do think she needs a slight re work. Between her low damage and her core moves doing damage to herself it feels like an up hill battle.
Just to note Arslan Ash used to play Zafina in Tekken 7. So pretty sure he would know better if Zafina got stronger in Tekken 8 over her Tekken 7 version. So I'd say Arslan's comments has way more merit than Sonicfox who couldn't even make it in the Tekken pro scene. Also just because a character is easy to use doesn't always mean the character is top tier. There are characters that are hard to play but once you know how, they are top tier. Zafina is hard to deal with if you rarely fight her due to her unorthodox manner of fighting but once you know how to deal with her, she is not top tier unless your fundamentals is so good that you can make up for it.
For WD, start with F, qcf,... slowly once, then slowly twice, then slowly twice... speped and momentum will build over time. Like anything else in Tekken, you need to grind. That is how I started, but no longer practicing any minishmas anymore. Warm up 30 mins in practice mode before hitting online. Later once you're comfortable, you can choose what you want to do after each CD.
Tekken is a game where I feel veterans dominate the scene, pro players don't fall off like they would in SF or Smash, Though Arslan came outta nowhere in evo, he had years of experience in his local scene and played mostly offline. Don't get me wrong though, I see sonicfox becoming a good player if he plays consistently even if I find him to be kinda annoying.
Panda winning 2017 tekken world tour was so hype but half of it is rangchu playing her to her full potential an the other half is that both knee and qudans were so focused on each other that they forgot how to punish panda you can see it in game qudans trying to microdash electric as a block push certain moves and certain combos not working on bears
I don't know what SonicFox is cooking but if you nerf chracters strongest tool and don't give anything in return she can't be better. Zafinas best tool was her backdash which allowed her to escape pressure and create whiff punish opportunities is basically gone now. She already had medicore damage, frames and punishers in T7, well those are even worse in 8
*There’s literally a Zafina player in the top 5 leaderboards with the most wins lol she’s obviously a strong player. You just need to learn how to play her* 🤷♂️
I'm still salty over how Zafina got treated in story mode lol Getting one-shot and instantly losing all her powers. I get that was part of her plan, but at least let us fight with her!
also sorry but 9:00 i kinda disagree mainman, is absolutely able to beat the best of the best, in tournaments too. Hes already scrimming with them and doing well. its not impossible. What TMMs issue is and self admittedly has always been is tournament tilt, this is somethin you can only learn so much every year, and only at the swame pace that everyon else learns it TMM absolutely went ballistic with T8, in T7 he was already good, but in T8 hes going nuclear. if he finds a main, hes going to be a tier 1.5 pro, if he can get over the tourn ament anxiety. i bet 50€ on that
@@via_negativa6183 yeah. he also says himself he has tournament anxiety. again, you dont get born and be good at that, everyone needs to learn it. some people unleash literally on day 1 and have a tournament high, and then it just clicks, some people dont. ive been on dreamhack as a sc2 player , i know the feel. i never made it to mainstage but god was i chocking hard, i almost dropped a game to someone 3 leagues below me because i was anxious my point being, mainman is popping off since t8 release, his powercurve is going up hard, i am convinced hes gonna go and be a tournament mainstay, atleast in tier t2 tournaments, from this point on.
I think sonic needs to mind his business I love him but he's average at tekken ☠️ he's not even in the top 100 players in tekken when it comes to pro players. He thinks beating ninjakilla aka a mk player is doing something 😂 he's gonna drop tekken as soon as someone beats him just like he did with tekken 7. Arslan knows his character I would rather listen to him since he's literally the best player in the world
I believe the theory behind tekken terrible. Because jack 8 is just considered middle of the road or average as far as fighters go but ever since ive played with him intensively theres a ton of potential in him that just screams winning material. Mikes right about the whole tekken terrible theory. One persons main could be god tier to someone elses trash.
As crazy as this may sound, and hear me out here, learning wave dashing mechanics can come from playing Bryan. It may sound crazy but think about it like this. Most of his best moves come from quarter circle inputs. That’s how I got good at the wavu wavu. Also just practicing the qcf f input. Start slow)20-30 a minute) then move up to 40-50. Sounds weird but you’ll notice a change foing these things.
I say a bunch of pros have secrets tricks up their sleeves that they plan to wheel out in EVO and TWT. no major tournaments are out yet so ppl aren’t trying to show their hand. When the tourneys drop you’ll see ppls real mains. Arslan didn’t even start using Zafina until end of season 3, season 4.
He beat his friend, who is NOT a Tekken player, with Zafina, which is a knowledge checker near game release date when no one knows the matchup. Zafina might not be trash tier, but she's definitely not high tier.
Tips for Kazuya: Number 1: play on player 2 side for now(right side), it makes his inputs for wavedash and anything from wavedash a bit easier to do, unless you're more comfortable on player 1(left side). Number 2: don't try to force Kazuyas 50/50 especially out in the open, wait for a knockdown then go for it from a wavedash if you can, it's why so many of Kazuyas moves knock the opponent down even his 10f 1,1,2 punish does this for that reason. Number 3: his pokes suck, so stick to jabs, 2 2, back 2 and throw in a back 2,4 once in a while, don't use his df1 as a poke often because its too slow and too minus on block, also use db1,2 sparingly as well since its unsafe but can hit from pretty far away, once you get used to electrics you can use that as a poke in a sense as well since it's plus 5 on block. Number 4: use movement a lot with Kazuya he excells more at punishing than pressure. Number 5: abuse down 1+2 while we have it😂 they made it faster in this game, it's a counter hit launcher, if they block it's safe and you can use while standing 1+2 straight after which is a safe mid that knocks down on counter hit for a guarenteed FF+4 which sets up Kazuyas 50/50, any counter hit knockdown with Kazuya actually does this exact thing. Number 6: FF+2 demon paw with Kazuya is okay but it's better from a wavedash because it turns into a pseudo homing move, but demon paw is even better in heat since devil Kaz has the enhanced version for more damage and it doesn't take much of your heat bar either. Number 7: avoid using the enhanced hellsweep with devil kaz out in the open, just use normal CD4,1 the enhanced one takes up your heat bar and you could use that for FF+2 instead(devil Kaz kinda sucks btw he's not really giving you much that Kaz by himself isn't already doing, apart from some enhanced moves). Number 8: df3,2,1 is okay with Kaz as well but it is steppable so don't spam it.
Top players talking about who’s good and who’s bad especially in the beginning of the game should not be taken seriously. Hworang was considered top 3 in tekken 5 in the early stages, Akuma in tekken 7 was considered bottom 5 for two years. Individuals bring unproven characters on the map, Kaiper with Feng Wei, Ayo Richie with Leo, Super Akouma with Akuma, Arslan Ash with Kazumi and Rangchu with Bears. Don’t listen to top players like its fact and try out things for yourself.
The funny thing about Akuma is the fact Tekken players didn't really play Street Fighter that's why they didn't understand him like that. Once you know Street Fighter you can instantly Tell he's very strong. Plus proving your character is OP or strong is important no matter the game
Speaking of low tiers Tekkens always been like that, back in Tekken 5 Bruce was considered one of the worst characters in the game but he could still kill you if he touched you. Same with Tag 1 Lee he was a low tier but could still kill you if you got touched
Not sure if you kept up with the SF6 pro scene, but Sonic couldn't keep up with the very best players. I think it's even less likely he keeps up in Tekken
wouldn't use panda as an example for the "you can win with any character compettively arguement" since that happened once (year 1) and nobody been able to repeat the results
I mean Zafina is just one of those characters you really only play her if youre in love with her. Her whole heat mechanic sucks like she has to hurt herself to go into heat and she only gets it back if the heat transition is successful. Her most powerful moves are in heat. Why tf would I use a character with a handicap, she literally can''t use the main mechanic of the game and has no advantages for it. Its actually wild.
Sonic likes to throw out half baked takes just to stir up twitter shit. Honestly wouldnt even shock me if he doesnt actually believe Zafina is top tier but is just being contrarian.
Sonic fox only plays characters where the matchup favours him... you will never see him on kazuya, bryan, lee etc.. you will see him on characters like azucena, zafina, kunimitsu, victor.. his lack of tekken knowledge is masked by the fact he plays characters who players are not really familiar with.
The Thing With zafina is that she is a knowledge check and all her overwhelming strengths are gone now but she is Not horrible or really Bad she is basicly just Mid Tier Not to Bad and Not to Good
I think alot of peoole dont know how dominant sonic fox use to be. Dont get me wrong, hes not a tekken god. But he is a fighting game genius. But tekken is a different beast.
The thing with Zafina is that, compared to her Tekken 7 version, now she is nowhere near as powerful. Most of her moves have reduced tracking, bad frames or, with the new movement of the game, can be sidestepped very easily. I had a lot of issues with her match in tekken 7, mostly because I play Lee lol; but here in tekken 8 I can't believe I can reliably counter a lot of her stuffs. Am no tekken pro, but I've played a lot 😅.
Zafina is good because she reduces the moves that her opponent can use down by a lot but with heat and strong armor moves you can over power her stance consistently and take back your turn.
