I met him before and after a show in Brisbane, he's a true down to earth nice guy, everybody's mate and still touring for the love and interaction with his followers.

he has MS, and a lot of people were assuming he had fallen off the wagon. Turns out, the poor dude had been struggling with MS for years and didn't find out until getting in a car accident.

When my girls and I were so economically challenged because of no child support, I used to sing this to them when they were so sad about not having much. I couldn’t give them a garden so I got some succulents, I couldn’t buy them a new car but we did get a used one when we absolutely had to and I didn’t buy them a new house but a little nicer apartment in a little nicer area. This was all I could do and it was all love. My kids know the value of love.

Me in late middle school/early highschool never considered that this couldn't be a love song. It's a formative piece of my musical history that's inspired me to play drums, then decide guitar would help write songs, then decide bass is needed to build upon the previous instruments, then finally realize just hope vital arrangements are to a song. Guitars, bass, drums, organ; the sky is the limit.

No you got it all wrong...he actually had surgery a couple of years ago and it really fucked up his voice.

I think it might just been from all the years of performing and singing. I know that has to take a toll for some people and artist. But i always liked Art's voice, he did use to sound better, but his voice now still resonates. Just sounds real, raw, and true.

God hand Mishima That's what I mean, I still love his voice even if it doesn't sound like it did in the 90s.

Jonah Ledesma Yes i agree. I know Art has had a rough life and with the drugs and stuff i know that all plays a part. I know he has gone through alot. Yeah he sounded a bit different in the 90's alittle better but he still kinda sounds the same just alittle bit more rough around the edges but i still love his voice, just alittle different now. I always loved Art's voice it was always different and stood out and was unique always felt the feeling in his voice ya know, you just knew it was him and that doesn't happen with too many singers. I agree. I figured that's what you meant.

Maybe because I am seeing the same thing in my own voice as I get older, but I like his voice better now. It is lower, fuller, and richer.
