This kind of opening simply does not exist anymore, the energy and spark in this is something else. When I was a kid and even now that electric guitar build up and Drum set beat down just puts me absolutely hyper mental!!!
growing up in the 90s was perfect ,you experienced being the last generation of kids playing out and the things you used to do without computers , but you also experienced the first generation of being a 21st century kids as well.
My siblings are Gen Z were going out. I'd say early Gen Z 98-02/03. Bc internet was still kicking off and dial up was still around and not everyone had the same tech at the time.
Oh my God, I forgot how amazing the set was. Totally up there with best one-stage tv sets of all-time. You can't beat giant art supplies. I did try a few things from the show. A particular favorite is making a big scribble on some paper then coloring in the created shapes. Fun, clean, therapeutic, great and result, excellent time-waster for kids. 10/10 highly recommend!
Picture the scene. It’s 1996. You just got home from primary school. Sat in front of the tv at home in the living room with a big glass of orange juice waiting for your tea and this comes on. Nostalgia
I started watching Art Attack back in 2009, the replay on Disney Channel Asia, and I watched it for the next 4 years. Unlike my peers, I didn't use my phone until middle school. Maybe it really gave me a good childhood, I lived with Art Attack and other science shows every day. Rewatching this intro reminds me of every afternoon, 15pm, lying around and trying to follow the host (failed). Great, wish I could go back to that time. It's been almost 10 years since I last watched AT. I'm commenting here just for reminding after many years later xD
Thank you! I have had this tune in my head all weekend and just couldn’t figure out where it was from 😂 Nobody I asked could remember and it was driving me nuts
Ahhh... Kindergarten, 6:30 A.M.; every morning before school, eating my peanut butter toast and watching this. Hard to believe a simple TV show intro will bring back nostalgic memories from fifteen years ago.
I always wanted to do the stuff he was doing when I was watching. Realised I had none of it to hand, going to buy. Few days on, forget it all. No on demand player back then. The 90s, so simple.
Wow... It's been years since I have watched Art Attack! I was like a 5-year-old when I see this and would expect to turn on the TV whenever it's on. It looks so different now. I still can't believe it. I miss my childhood ;(
Que lindos recuerdos me trae.. yo lo miraba alla por 1998..tenia 13 años.. volvia de la escuela, llegaba a casa a la 1 y ponia discovery kids justo para verlo. 😢😢😢
god i used to love this show, not that i ever made anything, only thing i remember now is his obsession with sticky back plastic and pva glue, good times....
I once saw Neil Buchanan in my rear view mirror in the car behind, arguing with his partner whilst angrily gesticulating at her. That's what I now picture when I hear this theme.
